My thoughts exactly. Didn't the heads of the department all retire? That's the only reason they finally held her accountable, everyone who refused to do their jobs and investigate her all left.
8
Yup, same as Chris Watts and Tony Todt. All of them narcissists, all of them desperate to drag their victim's names through the mud.
8
Literally the walking embodiment of the phrase "you can't make a ⱳḥσṛẹ a housewife".
8
@CS-yq8hp I agree with this. First, she refused to call the police. Then she stood by this guy having personally witnessed what he did. Then she calls him in prison, cooing and agreeing with his statements, stroking his ego. IF she was sooooo scared of this guy, you'd think she'd avoid him like the plague knowing he was safely locked up behind bars, not calling him dutifully to comfort him. And no, she's not a saint for testifying. She had no choice BUT to testify! They're not married! She HAD to!
8
Yeeeaaahhhhh, about that...there is actually evidence that he was abusive. He said some very horrible things to her via text on multiple occasions, and friends of Travis said he treated her horribly and couldn't understand why she kept coming back. Obviously none of this justifies anything Jodi did, and her self defense story is BS. These were two toxic people who kept orbiting each other, even though being together was tearing them both apart. And unfortunately for Travis, Jodi was far more dangerous than he realized.
8
Right? She donated her hair! DONATED! HER HAIR! Clearly she's a saint, she should be released immediately.
8
Omg I know, right? Her constant coughing was INFURIATING!
7
They're all like this. They actively avoid hiring intelligent people. I'm totally serious, if you've over a certain IQ, you can't get hired as a cop.
7
Dammit I was taking a sip of tea when I read this 😂
6
Big OJ Simpson energy.
6
"But it's like, and then I'm, you know, and then I'm, you know, uh you know like, yeah" I lost several brain cells just transcribing that one statement. RIP to the records keeper.
6
@skankhunt9078 Uhhh...what? Lol she's a MILLION times worse, what are you talking about?
6
@sarasamaletdin4574 Kinda hard to explain away a hair lying on top of the blood.
5
The whole "poor me" attitude this man wallowing in all throughout the interrogation is nine kinds of disgusting. How can he sit there, after doing what he did, and then throw himself such a massive pity party? "They threw me in a cold hard jail cell without any blankets and haven't given me anything to eat all day, I'm a viiiictiiiiiiiiim!"
5
@michaelxdrift Except for the German hardbass. That shi† rocks.
5
To this day, she's sitting in her cell, loudly proclaiming "what's this all about?"
5
I-I-I ah.....I'm thinkin' it was at a cafe somewhere, I used to work at the precinct by the IHOP back in 93?.....93?....It was when I was still teaching D.A.R.E., the shape of the pancakes reminded me of the big island of Hawaii,.....And, eh-eh-eh-eh....Ah-ah-ah you mean like, BREAKFAST-breakfast? That sounds familiar, ah-ah-ah...yeah...mmmmm....MmmmMMMMMMmmmmm..... [flaps her lips open and shut like a muppet]
5
This man is exactly why there needs to be a steeper level of entry for gun ownership. He threatened people with a gun FOUR TIMES prior, and was the aggressor each and every time, yet he was allowed to keep his permit?? America, you're broken...
5
Heh, I got pulled over by my DARE officer when I was 21. That was awkward.
5
Yeah, good luck getting dates with that one. "My last boyfriend died in a car accident, you insensitive jerk! I'm only just now getting comfortable with the idea of dating again. What is WRONG with you?! Who even asks that?"
4
@King Nothing LOL Underrated comment 😂
4
@T6goal It truly is appalling, isn't it? It's so obvious that her cop buddies helped her all this time. Then she had the audacity to sue the LAPD from prison. She doesn't feel one iota of guilt or remorse.
4
Well she IS a cop.
4
She even sued the LAPD from prison. The audacity of this bìtvh.
4
@olliefoxx7165 Lol like it or not buddy, it's not women's fault you're such a miserable sod.
4
@mspak182 LOL that's exactly me right now! It's 4 AM, for some reason I just had to look this up again. What is wrong with me?
4
It's 2 AM and my laughter woke up my bf, lord help me lol
4
Apparently she'd actually planned on killing the girl he was seeing, thinking she was gonna catch them in bed together (heck if I know why) but she wasn't there and Jodi still had a murderboner, so she had no qualms killing Travis instead.
3
@jenilee8703 What else can you expect from immature white boys?
3
@jourdansarpy4935 Criminally underrated comment 😂
3
"All she says is GIMME MONEY GIMME MONEY GIMME MONEY". Says the deadbeat with no job who constantly screams at her ex husband to give her money on a daily basis.
3
Grant Amato is probably the most insufferable criminal I have ever seen. There's just something about him that makes me irrationally angry just looking at him. His mannerisms, the obnoxious way he talks like a valley girl, how he felt entitled to everyone else's money, the way he blamed his brother for all of it...he's got a face made for a fist if ever I saw one.
3
"Are you texting about me?" (When told Jorge's daughters now have to face life without him) "Are you trying to make me feel worse?" Jfc, the narcissism...
3
I agree, the detectives were top notch and had the patient of a saint, but why do you use so many ellipses in your text? It's rather distracting.
3
As someone who has gone through the heII that is opiate withdrawal, I am amazed this guy kept his head on. The restless ankles, the hand wringing, the nose blowing, classic withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal is TORTURE, and these cops know it. They're deliberately holding him, knowing they have no evidence, to try and get him to crack just so they'll let him go and he can get his fix. They're monsters...and Jeff is an absolute legend.
3
I'm still angry that he was only charged with manslaughter. This was CLEARLY murder 2!
3
@aegiscaleb A decent person would have called the police. A decent person wouldn't have stuck by a murderer and dutifully called him to stroke his ego and tell him he was totally justified in murdering children.
3
She not doing it because it's the right thing to do, she's only doing it because she'll be arrested if she doesn't. That doesn't make her a good person. A good person would have called the police. A good person wouldn't be calling him behind bars cooing at him and stroking his ego.
3
I completely disagree. She knew EXACTLY who he was, and was happy to aid and abet him before he got caught. He even left her alone for several hours after they got home, and yet she still didn't call the police. Also, she was legally obligated to testify, they weren't married, so spousal privilege doesn't apply. Same applies to the interrogation. You don't get brownie points for doing the bare minimum of basic human decency, especially if it's done only after you've exhausted every other option.
3
No props at all, she had no choice. There were eye witnesses and they're on video tape, she's only being truthful because they got caught and she knows she's going to prison too if she lies. And she only testified because she had to. Legally, she had no choice, it was either testify or go to jail. She's not a good person for doing that.
3
@ThisIsMeArnold ^ This. All of this. Skill and intellect mean nothing to these people. They actively avoid hiring intelligent people. They give IQ tests to all candidates as a prerequisite for the academy, and they cut everyone who scores above a certain mark.
3
@ginapineda563 They are monsters, but she was also a teenager who was groomed by a man in his late 20s. He got with her when she was a minor. There's no question in my mind that she's where she belongs, but there also is no question that had she never met him, she would never have turned into the monster she became.
3
@avadefranco2558 She'd be the only person whose eyes would look LESS crazy after taking drugs.
3
Alcoholics are frequently dehydrated, as alcohol will remove water from your body. So she's very dry mouthed, which she s†upidly wants to alleviate with sugary soda which will dehydrate her further. 🙄
3
She's a cop. of course she has.
2
@funnybone107 She said "let's go" when he got back in the car. She knew he had fired at those boys. She didn't call the cops, didn't do anything, I don't know why you're all fawning over her when she stood by that man even after he did that he did. "Oh but she told the truth", since when do they give medals for doing what you're supposed to do? She had no choice but to do that, she only spoke to the cops cuz she was scared of being charged as an accessory. She doesn't care about those kids at all. She also had no choice but to testify, they weren't married and so she was subpoenaed. Did you not pay attention to that phone call in the beginning? She condones what he did. Y'all really out here telling on yourselves, you have no standards at all. It's shocking how easily you're fooled by a meek woman.
2
....Do I have to?
2
Is that you in your profile picture? Your hair is so pretty!
2
Yes. Clearly that's the one reason she's not marriage material.
2
Oh yeah, they were nine kinds of incompetent.
