  32. The US and Russia were the only two countries that could get all the resources from within their own borders.    The US advantage was it climate allowed a year round growing season unlike cold Russia with a short summer growing season.

  44. If Russia could be trusted not to invade Europe any further than their east Poland Germany and Britain would just be in a stalemate forever. Britain could never do a D-Day landing on their own and Germany could never land in Britain.
