Just to get this straight to everyone. The Yamato was not launch at that point. The Bismarck was sunk in May 1941, the Musashi was launch in late Aug 1941 and Yamato in Dec of 1941 seven months after Bismarck was sunk.

SO much wrong. The Germans did make it to the oil fields but they were all destroyed and useless. Barbarossa was the invasion of Russia not taking Moscow. Even if Moscow fell the Russians would not surrender over the loss of a city. Napoleon took Moscow and still lost.
1
It was a heavy cruisers , Battle Cruisers do not have small 8" guns. The Hood was a Battle cruiser.

True Britain declared war on Germany for invading Poland. At the end of the war Stalin took all of Poland and eastern Europe.
1
D-Day was rather late in the war. I think on purpose to let the Germans and Russians bleed each other out as long as possible.
1
In Canada for a short time a few years ago our money was equal to the US Dollar. The smart people changed their Canadian money to US dollar. Today we are back to the Canadian Dollar worth 70% of the US Dollar where it usually always was and is today.
1
Two reason. The US was not at war with Germany yet and the Iowa class was not launch until 15 months after the Bismarck was already on the bottom of the ocean.
1
Then Monty would have said "Thanks I will take that".
1
When you are in the military in a battle tell your parents not to call you at work.

Before the war the US was a manufacturing powerhouse. All they had to do was stop building cars, washing machine and refrigerators and built tanks and planes in those factories instead.
1
Fight for your country not a invisible skyman.
1
Why was Turkey important when Britain and France already had nukes? If the US wanted their nukes closer to Russia they could just put them in their sector of west Germany.
1
And the US getting the A-Bomb 4 years before anyone else.
1
Nukes are used every day since WW2 ended. It's why there has not or will be a WW3. Nobody fights a war with no chance of winning.

Austria and Greece were also taken over by Stalin but later on were the only two that were released. This was before they got their freedom and the russians pulled out in 1955. look up Chancellor Renner's cabinet.

Not matter what happened in the battle of Britain. 70 million population Germany was not sailing over to invade 130 million strong United States who also had 4 times Germany's manufacturing capacity and zero need of resource imports. Thanks anyways Winston.

They make such a big deal of D-Day but not "Operation "Bagration" which was launched at the same time on June 22, 1944 http://www.timescolonist.com/opinion/op-ed/comment-operation-bagration-was-the-real-d-day-1.1127733 was essentially the collapse of Germany's eastern front and destruction of all 700,000 Germans of Army Group Center by 2.3 million Russian troops. To the Russians and east German troops battles D-Day was a skirmish.
1
Could not Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India supply Britain? The British had a much larger navy that Germany to keep suppies going. The Canadian Navy (The RCN) ended the war with the third-largest naval fleet in the world. Canada had oil ,food, steel, ship building ports and mining ore.
1
The war would go on. Napoleon took Moscow and the Russians did not surrender, it's just a city. If the Germans landed on the USA and took Washington DC do you thin the USA would have surrendered?
