  12. @Reunite The British Empire Even if the Russian surrendered , the UK and USA would have not and let France stay in German hands. The US on its own had the manpower and resources to fight two Germanys without help. Then when the Manhattan Project and B-29s made it to England it would have been a short war.

  17. It was a solid continues trench from Switzerland to the english channel backed up by Artillery. There is no maneuvering , until tanks and planes got a upgrade in the 1930s. It was War of 1812 technics but with machine guns and fast firing artillery. The side with the most people to lose would win , France and the United Kingdom out number Germany.

  23. The German Navy and Air Force could not do much with the far western sea ports. The German Air Force tried and failed to beat the RAF remember. The British anti submarine development with portable radar and sonar came quick and made U-Boats suicidal . It would have just been a long stalemate staring at each other over the English Channel just between the two of them.

  25. Because being captured by the Russia was the same as getting killed. Of the 90,000 captured in Stalingrad only 5,000 survived the Russian Gulags. Might as well die quick fighting than slowly die breaking rocks in Siberia.
