No need for tanks and land forces defending a island from countries without air superiority over that Island to ever land on it. Not sure why Britain would wast people fighting in Africa. The Russians pushed back germany from Moscow in the winter of 1942. Supply routes were not setup fully yet. And Russian ports were frozen.

British Sonar and radar was so advanced in 1943 it made being in a U-boat suicidal , u-boats could not even surface at night. Britain would never get invaded and B-29 with A-Bombs would flatten Germany .

Russia declared the City of Kherson as a Russian city and had to retreat out of it 15 months ago . At one time people thought Odessa will get invaded by Russia next .
