  12.  @Dou_Y  The US lost 2,300 soldiers in 20 years in Afghanistan before deciding to leave . Hardley a war in scale. Were the US suppose to stay in Afghanistan forever? The USSR lost 15,000 troops in the 1979-89 invasion of Afghanistan in comparison.

During the Vietnam War the US was putting a man on the moon and the US people were driving muscle cars going to rock concerts. The USSR when bankrupt and collapse over the much smaller 1979-89 invasion of Afghanistan, as Russian store shelves were empty. Why? The USA was a economic superpower and could afford it , the USSR was not. Same will happen to Putin on his invasion.

Canada is a rich country of 40 million people , that can,t be reached unless by a very long ocean voyage. Russia if fighting the Ukraine only with limited selected weapons form the west. Russia still does not control the skies over ukraine , why? The west does not supply jets. Russia ran out of fuel and ammunition inside next door Ukraine. Canada could do nothing and just watch the Russians run out of everything before sailing to Canada.

Also the US would not need weapons from poor countries like North Korea and Iran to get ti invasion done. Iraq fell in a month and it was on the other side of the world , not next door.

Not like the US , they only had 3,500 troops at a time stationed in Afghanistan yet still killed 50,000 taliban over 20 years. The Russian lost 15, 000 men over 9 years. The US lost 2,300 over 20 years.

  47. Millions of people making $3 an hour living in factory dorms is a pathic economy. If the US made their own TVs and IPhones and the prices doubled we could suck it up. In the end the US is a lager country with more natural resources and not burden by overpopulation.
