  4. The US produces it's own oil unlike Germany. In war the US is self sustainable once oil is not used for civilian pleasures.

  7. Little know fact is the US gets 40% of its oil imports from Canada and only 13% from Saudi Arabia. http://www.worldstopexports.com/us-crude-oil-imports-by-supplier-countries/ So not way to even block US oil imports when they get oil from a county that only borders the US and no other.

  11. @Charles YuditskyI think during the battle of britain pilot shortages was more the problem than planes. A shot down German was a POW. A shot down RAF pilot was put back in the air hours later.

  25. A SMG used lower powered handgun ammunition like 9mm or 45 cal. A rifle used high powered rifle rounds which can blow a person head off over 200 metres away while a submachine gun i lucky to reach that far with any accuracy. . The only semi/full automatic rifle with a high powered rifle round in WW2 was the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR).

  28. @Charles Yuditsky Britain would have always been supplied. The west shipyards were out of German bombing range. France was buying planes from the US like the P-36 because France could not supply themselves. Germany never went ito full war production until 1943 ,because they thought the war would not last that long.

On paper the US could have fought two Germans by themselves. The US Navy and airforce grew to be larger than the rest of the world 's combined. Like to today a country can not even sail to North America let alone invade it.

  34. Peaceful USSR? Before the war Stalin took over Latvia, Lithuania Estonia 1/4 of Finland and east Poland. Russia also had 20,000 tanks on it's west borders when Germany invaded.

  37.  @3ddevelopment979  Captured people can not be added as resource to the cause. The Germans needed many soldiers held back to police Norway, France and the Ukraine. The Ukrainian partisans held back 200,000 German troops that could have been fighting.

  40. Norway was a ally. As if the Allies would let a German trading partner move into any country after defeating Germany. Lucky the US and Britain did not hand Sweden over to Norway is more like it. Or the Russian move in like they did Poland for supplying Germany in the war.

Britain and France declared war on Germany for invading WEST Poland (Stalin took east Poland) at the end of the war Stain took all of Poland ,Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania and Yugoslavia. Hitler doing it or Stalin what's the difference ,except one dictator was on our side.
