The Russian and Japan Reactor mishaps were old tech from the 60s and 70s. I,m sure a reactor with 2020 innovations would be much safer.

Online Walmart and Amazon is my thing even before this trouble time. I hate traffic and checkout lines.

True The Russian and Japan Reactor mishaps were old tech from the 60s and 70s. I,m sure a reactor with 2020 innovations would be much safer and efficient.
16
LADA never had one recall ever.
13
You must be great to have at a party or on vacation.

Unlike Oil. There is not enough lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) on the planet to power all the cars in the world. Just like Wind and Solar can not replace Coal for 1.4 billion people energy needs in China. All electric cars , there is no way it's just a matter of numbers.
9
@jurashuijben7196 Supply of lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) on the planet ,which there is not like oil. All cars electric can never happen. Just like cars can not run on whale oil, there is just not enough whales.
9
I live in Canada and seen may two E-cars in my life on the road. I think they do not work good in winters. Batteries hate cold and now that battery must also heat the inside of the car with window defrost fans, making the dismal range even worst.
7
The world had 4.3 billion people in 1980 , todays it is 8 billion, MORE people USE MORE. Easy math.
6
Need "Neon" to make chips and the Ukraine has 95% of the planet's supply. These machines will be idle.
6
People buy tickets for dull events?
6
@worldofdoom995 LADAs were made to break so you could never could tell if it needed a recall or it was by design.
5
Declining? There was 4.3 billion people in 1980 and we are at 8 billion today. 10 billion is forecasted in 2050. Look at a world population graph .
5
@williamerazo3921 Radiators on a electric powered car? Oh your joking right?
5
True I live in Canada right on the border. Our Coors light is made by Molson and taste better than Coors light made by Coors. Ore Bush beer is made by Labatt's and taste better than than Bush made by Bush. Our Canadian brewed Bud Light also taste better,

The US made the prison system a vital industry like the auto industry once was.
4
Can you imagine on vacation abroad and trying to tip the staff with Chinese money rather than US dollars? They would look at you like you were from Mars. Might as well hand them Rwandan francs. LOL
4
When you go to a communist country with a totalitarian regime you take your chances.
4
Would the salty prime water not be neutralized by the melting Polar Ice Sheet's fresh water raising the oceans levels?

.Unlike Oil. There is not enough lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) on the planet to power all the cars in the world.

It's also essentially a pedal bicycle you do not have to pedal all the time. Is it illegal for a bicycle to go down a long hill because the rider is not pedaling with their feet anymore ? In Canada , the e-bikes under a certain wattage/speed rating are treated as a pedal bike. The ones over that wattage/speed rating are treated as a gas motorcycle. No real science to it.
3
Calling that a pizza is like calling a BigMac a hamburger.
3
That's why they have ID and check your Credit card when you rent a car . Only a idiot would steal a car they rented .
3
Overpopulated countries will feel it first and hardest. China resources need to maintain 1.4 billion people . The US has to maintain 330 million people. China has more cars than the US has people. Who do you think wins the long game?
2
I will pay for a gas car verion rental place just because they a 90% lager sections of gas station that can fill the car up in 5 min not 40 min .
2
Because the cars are little buggies nobody would be caught dead in. Get back to us when their a Electric -F-150 4x4. -China has no choice since they have more cars than the US has people. If they were all gas nobody would be able to breath. -China does not do open long range driving ,live North America.
2
Also Nothing can replace plentiful affordable coal to power 1.4 billion person China and India.
2
@afqt80 The E-Car cost $8,000 more on averages than its fuel counterpart. You can buy a lot of fuel for $8,000 and it can do long road trips if need be.
2
How? they are all robot voice messages to continue they give you a number to call them.
2
Need "Neon" to make chips and the Ukraine has 95% of the planet's supply. These machines will be idle.
2
Imagine renting a car and you do not know e-cars have smaller range and need rare charging station that take a half hour to charge , not a 5min fill up .
2
@goldenshatter 5 million gas stations .
2
It's not replacing the car its replacing the bicycle that had to be pedaled by feet. People do not pedal at 25 mph on a bicycle down a major freeway why would they take a 25 mph limited ebike down a freeway?
2
How would they know it it was not Vodka, Nintroclesorine or Acid?
2
Need "Neon" to make chips and the Ukraine has 95% of the planet's supply. These machines will be idle.
2
@skycloud4802 Its a bike you don't pedal that's it, end of story, it does not go any faster or more dangerous. In Canada have a Voltage limit, Wattage limit and speed limiter for the ones that need no registration or driver's licenses. Think of them as a pedal bike that goes down hill all day long.
2
We need to develop faster state of the art printing presses.
2
Let me guess they have zero C02 output and require fuel once every 5 year ? Canada has 6 nuclear power plants running since the 1970s without a accident. Imagine how sate a modern 2022 Power plant would be.
2
I hate it when I pay and the tip is already added to my bill . I tell them to take it off and to presume nothing. Even when I tip I use cash so the person does not need to declare it as taxable income.
2
If you can afford to rip the drywall off the walls to re-insulate and afford to replace the drywall , mud it and paint it.
2

2
@eschreck814 Yes they will sell lots of E-Cars . Will they replace the 1 billion fuel powered cars in the world , not with the battery material this planet has.
2
We are at the most dangerous stage now. We have cars that are supposed to be partially driverless (Driver Assist) but people treating them as if they are 100% Driverless and absolutely not looking at the road. They should have them full ready not offer them practically ready . Humans do not work that way. Currently your supposed to keep your eyes on the road at ALL TIMES with diver assist , well then you might as well drive the thing then.
2
@jeremyloveslinux Even German oil was synthetic by late war time. Hard to believe in 2022 we still need a rubber tree.
2
Look at the traffic and road conditions. Like buying expensive downhill skis when you live in the desert. Indians are lucky to have a toilet let alone buy a Harley.
2
Even if they get it right, then what? My Intel i7 justs died after 5 years without a warning and never drove over a million potholes in winters and summers. A new car is $40,000 and a 10 year old used car with 150k is $2000 for a reason. A few hundred thousand $2000 used driverless cars will be entertaining in the future.
2
Like reverse engineerings China cares who thought of it first.
2
China will reverse engineer the British de Havilland Comet and get into the game.
2
@counterpunchboxing9322 In Canada every 3rd car is a V8 4 door 4x4 pickup truck. I alway thought the Hummer was just the return of Ford Bronco /GMC Jimmy/ Chevy Blazer with a rear passenger door added on.
