  2.  @DasirRey , I’ve lived in Central Pennsylvania and in Philadelphia. Never was a crime victim in Central Pennsylvania. In Overbrook Park, I was a crime victim at least 5 times in 10 years. I live in southern Florida now. Lot of crime in the news here as well but hasn’t reached me yet.

  4. Agreed. Mr. Abner has a lengthy prior record out of Philly, Montco, and Delco dating back to 2009for retail thefts, drugs, identity theft, burglary, unauthorized use of automobile, probation violations. The courts gave him county time but never state time.

His punctuation omission makes it look like he thinks this happened in West Philly rather than in the Logan section of North Philly. Unless he’s that stupid, he probably just botched up his intended lame joke.

  11. It’s hard to read a license tag with a gun pointed at your head. The tags likely were stolen anyway as previously noted. I was carjacked in West Philly in February 2022. Cops caught 4 teens in my car 3 days later. Car had stolen plate on my car when cops released it to me and correct plate in the trunk. I asked cop if he wanted me to give him back stolen plate. Cop said, “You can if you want or just trash it.” WTF?

Second degree murder also is known as “felony murder.” It is a murder which occurs during the course of another major felony, such as a robbery, kidnapping, rape, home invasion. “Voluntary manslaughter” is when you kill someone during the heat of passion or when you kill someone’s under the mistaken impression that you are doing so in self -defense. The scenario you described is tantamount to attempted manslaughter or basic aggravated assault, not attempted second degree murder.

  18.  @6ftNaturalBeauty , you are mistaken. The law considers curbside trash as “abandoned property.” As such, the resident has no reasonable expectation of privacy in this area. For example, police detectives use “trash pulls” as an evidence technique. They can dig through curbside trash of a suspect without a warrant legally under the 4th Amendment. They test trash for DNA, search for names on utility bills, etc. At best, the Streets Department might have regulations to prohibit making a mess or littering in the process of digging through trash. The city doesn’t want people dumping trash on the sidewalk in the course of rummaging through trash for food, scrap metal, etc.

  24.  @latyshal.2286  , you really think they like white cop killers better than black cop killers? This also wasn’t a random petty case where the defendant happened to be arrested on body cam. They’re not going to do something stupid to jeopardize a high-profile case by beating him up. You’ve got probably ten white cops going into a white suburb to a white parent’s house to arrest a non-resisting white kid surrounded by cops in front of his parents. That’s a lot different from chasing Tyre Nichols for reckless driving.

  26.  @WALTERBROADDUS  , I wasn’t considering school reports. I was considering news reports coupled with my personal experiences of occasional observation of Wynnefield police investigations/ road blockages during my work there. Wynnefield is not Shangri-La but it’s safer than North Philly IMO.

  28. 1:09. Steve, please. I was crazy enough to work restaurant delivery a couple doors down from there for ten years. The brothers stole my Corolla there in 2019 and carjacked my Civic there last year. I frequently stopped into that Dollar General before they close at 10 pm. The heavyset lady manager with the colored wigs several times told me how she disliked working until 10 pm due to fear over being robbed..

Also, It has been many years now that Philadelphia Police generally have omitted race description from criminal case public announcements at the request of the black community on grounds that race description allegedly implied that blacks commit most of the crimes in the city. I found it interesting that he felt compelled to state within the first minute that this subject is white. I’d like to hear him try to pronounce the vaccine brand Pfizer and the actress named Michelle Pfeiffer. Also, he refers to “Buckingham” and “Buckingham Police Department.” However, the village of Buckingham doesn’t have its own police department. Rather, it’s technically the “Buckingham Township Police Department.” Pfeffer May live in the tiny village of Buckingham though I’d bet more than likely he lived elsewhere within the township.

He filed charges of 3 counts felony misuse of a communications device and one misdemeanor count of filing false report with police. On 8/28, Sharon Hill Magistrate Judge Tammi Forbes set bail at $100,000 and committed Ms. Tabon to Delaware County Prison. Preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 13. That’s what we know about Ms. Tabon.
