Soon, they’ll need buzzers for entry just like the hair salons, pawn shops, and jewelry stores. Some papi stores have the husband or big nephew standing guard inside the door. She also had a conviction for criminal mischief and was out on bail for simple assault and harassment at the time of her death. Maturity was not in her DNA.

Police announced Richard Jewell as their “suspect.” Police subsequently conceded that Jewell was innocent and that Eric Rudolph actually had done it. Jewell successfully sued law enforcement for defamation, etc., in that the mislabeling of him as a suspect had destroyed his reputation.

No need for battery to constitute “assault.” It’s especially newsworthy in a suburban shopping center. I’m guessing most of the crime you experienced didn’t happen in the suburbs. I was a West Philly restaurant delivery man for ten years. I was carjacked for my Honda, had my Toyota stolen during a setup fake order, threatened several times, had juveniles jump on my car, and received counterfeit money several times. I never made the news and was happy I didn’t.

Police charged her under the name “Jahide Robinson.” Unclear if Police typed it up wrong by mistake or if she gave a fake name. Judge Michael Quinn released her immediately on her own recognizance. She probably has a confidential juvenile record. They generally don’t start out at age 19 as criminal ringleaders.

  40. I don’t know why he didn’t get health insurance. I drove Uber in Philly for years. I signed up for Independence Blue Cross/ Blue Shield via the Federal Government Marketplace program. It was very affordable. They charged me no premium for a couple years if I recall and a reasonable premium other years.
