The saddest part was the marine in the middle saying he's support his daughter becoming a marine but hoped we're not fighting the same war. Well, look at history my friend. Afghanistan was no different than Vietnam except it was much longer. Odds are that we'll be entrenched in another pointless war around the time his daughter is turning 18.

A lot of states have privatized foster care placement systems, and most of those agencies are affiliated with very conservative religious groups. Now that the Supreme Court has authorized them to not accept gay foster parents, they absolutely will discriminate.

  25. The reality is that natural gas is vastly cheaper than coal and will be for at least the next few decades. It's not about politics or regulations, it's about basic economics. Coal is a dying industry and the people in West Virginia need to move on, get an education, and go into a different industry.

  28. You can't. These flex driver's aren't looking at their actual take home earnings after they've paid all their taxes, expenses, etc. That's what actually matters. They're only looking at the gross income, not the net. It's the same thing Uber drivers do. Once they do their taxes at the end of the year and realize they're actually making less than minimum wage after taxes, expenses, etc. they stop doing it, and Amazon gets another group of fools to take their place.
