  7. Was the 99% figure meant for Israeli Americans? Feel that it would be less accurate inside Israel. Saw an interview with Yuval Noah Harari this morning ( on his YouTube channel) that voiced a very rational take on the side of Israelis who want peace with Palestinians and constantly call out the war crimes of their government. Of course I am horrified by the horrors of the Hamas attack, just as I have been horrified for years at the Palestinian victims and what is currently happening in Gaza.

  9. Ā @funbarsolaris2822Ā  pretty judgemental. Of course the words of someone in her state can't be taken as fact but if she is dealing with serious issues maybe she deserves help? The police were doing the right thing, sobering up is the priority but interaction with a social worker should follow. If she was just wasted and not in need of help then great, court and consequences for her crimes. But if she is in need of help with issues then we as a society have to get better at dealing with helping people, especially intervention before people fall too far through the cracks. We don't know fuck all about the rest of this girl's life and we shouldn't be too quick to assume. Also even though some cops are scum, many are not and this video shows their job can be incredibly hard.

  15. Read your whole comment, knew most of the general points but thanks for the extra detail. It makes sense it was the Russians but like you said if there's more evidence about an accident it needs to be seen. I think Hasan's scepticism about Ukraine comes from a mistrust of the U.S. government, especially the U.S. military which in the past has been dodgy as hell. What trumps this for me is the suffering of the Ukrainian people, who should be helped no matter what.

His self criticism here addresses the issue more than satisfactorily. Rick Scott should be punished severally, not a fine, a long jail sentence. In Australia we had really bad floods from natural disasters last year, some places flooded 4 times in 6 months (Lismore, NSW) but to go through a similar disaster caused by man during a war is truly awful. It could be said that no matter what specifically caused the dam failure, it wouldn't have happened if one man, Putin, hadn't invaded his neighbouring country.

Looked up RFK jr and it seemed like he spent decades working as an environmental laywer to protect/clean up the environment by taking on legitimate conspiracies like corporate coverups/corruption fossil fuel companies rejecting climate change etc. Seems like the real conspiracies broke his brain. Plus both his father and uncle were political assassinations at the highest office( President and President shoe in), his aunts lobotomy, cousins murder conviction, the list is massive, no wonder his brain is broken.
