Anyone who is willing to destroy 2/3 of their own people is INSANE.

Please do periodic updates on the Li family holdings and maneuvers! It's troubling to see the tentacles reaching so far into the West but must be watched closely.

Another excellent video, Lei.

I'm very interested to hear more about China's debt. China was warned by the IMF back in 2015/2016 about their debt to GDP reaching 300%, but to whom does China owe this? Is this more "accounting with Chinese characteristics?" Is the debt from one section of China to another section of China or is it transnational? I know CCP numbers aren't to be believed, but there must be reasonable study that has been made.

I had heard that the banking limits were to reduce the "capital flight" brought on by the impacts of the zero-Covid policy. People are also having their passports cut or confiscated. China is fast becoming the world's largest prison. But the reasons stated here are certainly worth considering!

I just discovered your channel about a week ago and have been binge watching and taking notes. I've been using some info from your channel when exchanging comments with wu mao quoting some of your Chinese sources which I hope will help wake them up to the truth. Thank you for providing such valuable information and including the English spelling of the names!

Power or Money - the CCP must choose because it can only have one or the other, not both! Based on Covid policies, they currently choose power.
13
Not China, the CCP. The two are not the same thing. China existed before the CCP took control. Consider what the CCP has done to Chinese citizens (600,000 still live in poverty of $150 or less per month -Li Keqiang), the famine caused by Mao because he was exporting the food in order to raise the GDP thereby starving Chinese people, the gender imbalance and rapid aging of the population because of the "one-child" policy, extensive human trafficking, rewarding corruption, etc. Why should anyone like the CCP?

I would love to know what BRICS nations really think of China. It's a shame these weren't covered.
10
"Pizza-box-sized" - that gives an interesting possibility to the crack-down on food deliveries in Shanghai recently!

When I purchase something online, open the package and discover that it is made in China (in spite of whatever spin was in the description), I send it back and state why. Getting online retailers to be transparent will be part of this battle. Companies that offer free returns will stop using deception to cover the true manufacturer if enough people will do this.

The old man who just wanted enough money to eat is heartbreaking. When the camera backed away, you could see that his legs are sticks and he truly hasn’t been eating well in quite some time.
8
As opposed to CCP propaganda? I'll take the Falun Gong version because at least FG value truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. The CCP only values continuation of CCP power.
7
@Hmongboi228 It’s only a sacrifice if it’s important to you. Laying down your own life is a sacrifice; taking someone else’s is murder.
7
@drumpfdon760 No need to be any of those things. Many who've lived in China have spoken out once they no longer need to fear for their social credit scores. Some brave people upload even from within China.

I would love to know if that 27% is equally distributed between CCP party members or if the likelihood of finding a job depends upon party membership!
5
@308_Negra_Arroyo_Lane I don't know if she is or not, just that between FC or CCP, FC would be a much more reliable source.
5
@308_Negra_Arroyo_Lane The CCP don't "get sick," they ARE sick, morally.

@prioris55555 10% is hardly “the vast majority of the human population.” Per an article in Psychology Today: A study conducted in the early 2000s found that 6.2% of the general population would meet the criteria for narcissistic personality disorder and 3.7% would meet the criteria for antisocial personality disorder. These conditions officially capture the maladaptive behavior we refer to as sociopathy. But if you’re part of that 10%, I guess you’d like to believe everyone else is just like you.

@drumpfdon760 "Love and support" in public, loath and detest in private.
4
@drumpfdon760 88% of Chinese students who study in the West DON'T return to China. Only 10% go back (the other 2% go to a different country from where they are studying, but not to China). That is more than just criticizing on social media. Perhaps one day you'll also be able to escape to the West.
4
For that to happen would require that not a single evil person ever gets into power. All it would take is ONE with the rest of the world utterly defenseless to stop them. Sadly, it's often those who are most ruthless and driven that get to the top positions whether in government, corporations, or NGOs.

You may also like "China Update," a very small new channel that gives daily updates M-F.

"I want to live with dignity, like a human, not just breathing." Beautifully said and I hope those suffering under tyranny take this to heart!
4
Shhh. Let sleeping trolls sleep.
4
I'm not surprised. The honor-shame nature of the CCP makes them less than perfectly transparent.

@taco7043 Many a gambler failed to quit while ahead and lost everything. "Past performance is no guarantee of future results."
3
I remember that and the "revenge against society" stabbing of children, even kindergarteners, in China.
3
The gender balance in China is what makes it unique globally. Having 2 children per WOMAN of childbearing age won't be a replacement rate when the men already outnumber the women by 3:1. No other nation has such extreme gender imbalance.

@prioris55555 It’s sad that your experiences would cause you to draw such a conclusion. I can’t agree since I know many who are both aware and generous, both known directly by me and through charities/agencies that are doing good work. There are many organizations that are aiding poor and homeless populations, fostering/adopting abused/neglected children, rescuing those who have been victimized by human traffickers, investigating and presenting balanced geopolitical information, etc. Perhaps you’ve gotten yourself into an algorithm that is feeding you too much negative information.

Consider also, if those 15-year-olds have a gender balance of 2 males to every female. Even if each woman gives birth to 2 children, the population would still decline rapidly.

@luuducanh7497 A brief conversation would be fine.
2
@luuducanh7497 No. Cryptocurrency is pure speculation, not investing. There are crypto bots on many sites trying to get people to call some "expert" (various names given) at a Whatsapp number, but these are scams and not organic conversations between real people.

Following in the footsteps of Marx, an economic deadbeat sucking at the teats of those around him while criticizing them.
2
The options that you described don't sound like investing at all but rather like gambling. Putting your money behind corporations that you believe in for product quality, a real market for the product, and sound corporate management - THAT is investing.
2
@taco7043 Sometimes that's true, but you have to consider that many of China's Big Tech leaders are stepping down so perhaps know something that you don't? China's tech sector is under increased regulation from the CCP and are at risk of delisting from exchanges for failure to comply with standard accounting practices and/or refusal to allow their books to be audited.
2
The economic situation is much worse in China. Recent college grads in China are having a very difficult time finding jobs and the property sector which accounts for 25-30% of China's GDP is in disarray at best and could collapse. Plus the local governments who were getting much of their funding for "land use sales" have seen that evaporate and have turned to LGFVs and many are insolvent. Those are just a few of the economic woes facing China given as examples but there are others.
2
@drumpfdon760 Back in 2015/2016 China was warned by the IMF because its debt to GDP was at 300% and I'm sure that doesn't include all the "off the books" debt. That was before Covid and all the lockdowns, the supply-chain interruptions, the companies who have moved out or are actively seeking to leave China as soon as current contracts allow. Add to that the property sector problems, the growth of LGFV because of declining land use sales, the increase in "flexible employment," rapidly aging population, and other indications of economic troubles. Throw in China's $23 TRILLION market for commercial acceptance bills - a very risky and controversial form of business financing which caused bank collapses in the past. Yeah, it's easy to see why Lei thinks that RMB/CNY is nothing but worthless vouchers. The entire "China miracle" is nothing more than the China MIRAGE. Even Li Keqiang admits that 600,000 in China still live in poverty - $158 per month or less!
2
You've confirmed my suspicion that this is being manipulated by the CCP, but I'd back it up a bit. I think the CCP was withdrawing money that they had put in the US markets, too. The way the tech moguls in China are lying flat, it wouldn't surprise me that they've been pressured to withdraw investments of personal funds from foreign markets. Wealthy CCP members also offshored money in foreign accounts and could have been prompted to sell shares based on the propaganda.

@endurerable Yes, Don Xiang's Digging to China is also very good!

It will be like watching one drowning man try and rescue another drowning man.
2
Thank you. I watched again and see that India and Brazil are covered in the Euroasia Group Foundation poll at about 9:25 into the video.
2
@felixjordan3514 Just because you DON’T believe the “storyline” doesn’t mean that it isn’t true or that the accusation is false. Many people will excuse an abusive person, especially when dependent upon that abuser. And there is plenty of evidence that Xi Jinping doesn’t care about ordinary mainland Chinese.
2
@prioris55555 So take a stand with those who battle against them! Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
2
Well, damn!
2
600,000 people in China live on $150/month or less (Li Keqiang).
2
I've heard from another source (China update) that 80% of urban household wealth is in real estate. Also, China doesn't officially have "unemployment," however, they are encountering much "flexible employment." Lei has another video where professor Sun Liping discusses 5 challenges that are affecting China's employment situation.
