Sure. That explains why the ten fastest growing cities are are all blue like these, right?
Boise City, Idaho
Greeley, Colorado
The Villages, Florida
Odessa, Texas
Lakeland-Winter Haven, Florida
St. George, Utah
Myrtle Beach-Conway-North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina-North Carolina.
Midland, Texas
Provo-Orem, Utah
Unless you are also among the richest people living in Seattle or Silicon Valley, having all these millionaires around is a positive detriment to your quality of life. If you're even upper middle class, you have to run ever faster in the hamster wheel just to stay in the same place.

@filipelimartins I understand how mathematics works. I see you're from Brazil, so your understanding of a large city is different than those in the US. Nevertheless, the fastest growing large city is Phoenix AZ, currently at 1.66 million. Second is San Antonio TX at 1.53 million. None of the rest of the fastest growing cities exceed a million, although Fort Worth TX and Charlotte NC are close. Rounding out the top five large cities is Seattle, the only red city, at 746,000, and that experienced a paltry growth of 2%, almost all of which came from annexations. No city outside of Texas or Arizona with a population of a million or more experienced even a small population growth, and many are losing population.
