There would have had to have been local admixture. Cleopatra was at least somewhat mixed between white and black/brown. It's the only sensible answer. Just common sense.

  7.  @DRPenha  A woman is an older girl as well yes.... both statements are true. A woman is an older girl so inherently a girl is a younger woman, by the same token. The cut off point is arbitrary. Some, but not all, will consider the legal age of adulthood as the cut off point for when they start/stop referring to an individual as a girl or a woman. It remains that these are gender terms. Only male/female refers to sex. I hope you're feeling better.

  8.  @DRPenha  gender exists along a spectrum of appearances and behaviours considered culturally masculine through to feminine. You're right to point out the words used to define these range of genders is not so important. As long as those words don't already mean something else, e.g. male/female which relate to sex, a distinct concept from gender. Sex is binary (with the rare exception of intersex). Gender is much more nuanced and complex and exists along a spectrum, so it is not binary.

  9.  @DRPenha  the gender spectrum has a masculine half and a feminine half, with a non-binary slot in the middle. What we call 'man/boy etc.' falls somewhere on the masculine side, 'woman/girl eyc.' falls somewhere on the feminine. Makes sense?
