Metis Advantage these aren't people acting in the role of doctors. They are charging people up to $400/HR to circumnavigate the paperwork and phone calls. If I am being honest I think doctor's charge too much as well. I feel like it has been well documented that costs sky rocketed with the invention of insurance.
1
Metis Advantage I think my answer was pretty clear the first time. Providing a service to a patient, fine. Charging up to 400/HR for this service, not fine. IMO at that point you are just goughing people who are in a desperate situation. Similar to some doctors.
1
@GailNowacky $00 an hour? So for free? I guess I would accept that if the lawyer was decent. If you meant $400 an hour, then maybe. I don't know the price of a lawyer but I can tell you I would not pay $400 an hour to circumnavigate the paperwork and phone calls of getting out of jail when the person was not a lawyer. To restate my original point, I am saying these people are being gouged for the service being offered and to me it seems predatory. Just because someone is willing to pay doesn't make it less predatory and it remains unethical. It's akin to charging people like Martin Shkreli
1
@GailNowacky I am not taking issue that this exists as a business. There are many like this that provide a service to people who could or could not do a task themselves but choose to pay someone. Yard maintenance comes to mind or as you keep wanting to talk about legal work like applying for a pardon. My issue is what they are charging. $30-50 an hour, that makes sense to me. Hundreds of dollars does not. The video highlighted people being charged absurd amounts of money, so that is what I commented on. If the story was, there is a company that provides this amazing service and it will only cost you $30/hr it wouldn't be a story. I'm sure these "advocates" are good at their job and get results but they are not in the rank of doctors/lawyers and should not charge that much. The fact that people keep equating them to these professions is further evidence that there is something wrong here. Equate them to a receptionist or personal assistant, like they are.
1
@GailNowacky No they aren't. Period. An attorney and a CPA go to school for years to understand and hone their craft. Although few, some Patient advocates have no more than a high school diploma.
1
@GailNowacky LOL. Did you just copy and paste this from the first website you found? From the same website you "educated" yourself with..." As a new and unregulated field, there are no set national standards or certifications for patient advocates, so employment requirements are very flexible" , "A few patient advocates had only high school diplomas" and I am qualified to judge. What determines that I am not?

I still don't understand what "Wine Can Teach Us About Climate Change". Just seems that they are adjusting because growers realize that they need to make adjustments due to climate change.
1
@johngotti299 In your mind is their anyone that shouldn't be allowed to jut walk right in?
1
@WelcomeToCostcoILoveYou How dare I expect people to follow the law.. you are right, I am terrible.
1
Person vs. car.. car always wins. Protesting is a right and should be encouraged. But don't get in the way of someone just trying to get to their job or their family.
1
So there needs to be fewer people driving fewer cars. Maybe we should do something to stop immigration??
1
I dont really understand this. I'm no "Chad" but I did ok. I'm married now. My close friend is married and he is slightly handicapped from an accident. I think it's a problem with entitlement. These kids believe that sex is just readily available for this small percentage of men and instead of trying to better themselves and exercising or trying to do anything to make themselves more attractive they sit on a computer. Mental issues aside these guys just need to try a bit harder.
1
Dusty Wilson maybe but I doubt it. This one said he just sits on his computer

Caligrown92511 I don't think it is, but let us stay it is exactly the same. the British came to what is now known as America , they tried to take the land, and then there was many wars. the natives didn't just let the British stay. Are you saying we should start a war with Mexico? Also the British weren't trying to be part of the tribe and get the benefits of being part of the tribe. They just wanted the land.
1
@IcerinAlaska49 100% Men know this. I am not "blaming women" at all. I quoted something that was said in the video
1
America seems to be getting worse and both parties are to blame.
1
I was looking for stats, how many crimes have been proven committed by ghost guns? The number seems to be incredibly low. 24:18 there is a stat 24,000 unserialized weapons found at crime scenes from 2016-2020. So 6000 a year. Again how many were used to commit a crime? Im sure this would include instances where they were found but not part of a crime, EG drug house. Keegan called all 24000 ghost guns, I don't think that is true either. Is a weapon with all the serial numbers removed, is that unserialized?
1
Wow did you get this wrong. It wasn't racist. Race had nothing to do with it. These people are attacking policy and traditional values. The GOP is conservative and don't want to see them change. Their stance is if you don't like it leave because this is the track the train is on. I would say it's nieve of the Trump administration because they are basically saying these Americans opinions don't matter. But it's a very common business response when dealing with change.
1
No one is coming to children for hope. They are coming to them to act as pawns. Not only do corporations need to change but western society. We are so brainwashed by materialism, we just keep buying stuff we don't need. All of these kids that are protesting in the streets for change need to take a good hard look at their own habits and make changes. Waste less precious resources. People will argue that individual changes do little to help but you believe the most dire numbers it shouldn't be a question. Even if the result is bumping to from 50% to 52% "You have got to clean your own house first before you tell other people that they are doing it wrong "
1
can you explain?
1
@putinfromrussia Youtube doesn't allow links to be posted. Canada
1
Yes, India should cut out China until they can treat their people better
1
Why doesn't she speak properly?
1
@squidwardo7074 Nope. Didn't have an armed guard according to news sources
1
Watched a interesting Ted Talk that was posted a week or so ago. It was more about pushing money to different things like healthy food and affordable housing in replace of healthcare. Don't be fooled healthcare is a talking point for both parties.
1
This report seems so disingenuous of what the reasoning and goals of the change are.
1
Seems fair. Guy entered country illegally, committed crime, and got deported. In this case the family should all move back to Mexico and stay together.
1
A hate crime seems like a bit of a jump and they didn't discuss the facts of the case but this seems like a complete failure on the Army
1
@takyrdai2432 I'm not saying US cops. Someone owns that property they can legally vacate it.
1
"Do not come" "I'm going to come"
1
I truly don't understand the idea that the workers deserve more than the CEO and founder. If it's so easy these three should do it.
1
Bad choices lead to further bad choices. Don't have sex with randoms and be fully open and honest, this won't happen.
1
The fact that he is ok with unethical behaviour sums it up perfectly. Antifa seems to have a bad history of acting people with different beliefs, not just nazis, like people who are against abortion.
1
It's clear the Ortiz things they need something. She mentioned other forms of increased security, she just doesn't want a wall. It's not only violent people this is trying to stop. It's everyday people who cross illegally and then use USA resources. The talk of safe city is a very little piece.
1
I do think that VICE routinely has a left slant but what is wrong with this story? Seems factual to me. Maybe a bit speculative. It's one sided it showed the people protesting one side? and a guy begging for it to be the opposite.
1
I can't get passed Paraguay being pronounced that way. Have I been saying it wrong the last ~30 years???
1
This only seems like half the story. How did Judy buy the home for 3952? They paid $3711 for Judy's home. Based on the whole story she should have been bidding. She owed the county way more than that. Get it for $5000 and consider it a win.
1
Buy local, both for your own safety and environment. Consumers have shown that they don't care about the "true cost" as long as it is cheap. When the cheap product fails, they are upset. (surprised pikachu face)
1
So... like Rikers nut way nicer
1
If it is still happening the former head of the fib really didn't have that big of effect. I guess she did get one of them arrested.
1
Blake Brown nope watched the video fully. And I know the standards are different for men vs. women. As I said lowering the standards are bad, but if it needs to be done so be it. It's like any business. If you can't get staff... my issue specifically is having different standards based on gender, including the mesurments talked about in this video. It doesn't make sense to me. As for not enough recuits, the administration has done it to themselves. They are excluding people for no reason. Army and the like should have a high standard and if you are in you are in. Regardless of race, gender, etc.
1
Killacamfoo O.G. I disagree. If they can met the standard. They have a right to be there. My friend's mother was a forest fire fighter and she was built like a tank. She was at least 1/4 bigger than her husband. I guarantee she was tougher than him.
