  9.  @freesoul3466  BJP got rid of akali because they turned out to be an obstacle in reforms. The same reforms which would reduce deficit, in extravagant sectors of India, such as farming. More money has sunk into it than any other industry in India. Akali was profiting from that sector with no improvement in farmers lives.

  11. Punjab's excessive borrowing and spending is not surprising to me. All Punjabi's I have seen do not know how to live within means. Frugality can never be a part of their vocabulary. Be it wedding to social events, etc.. Ostentation is their second nature. I am sure Guru Nanak ji did not profess any of these things in Sikhism. Sikhism is all about living with honesty, modesty, humility. Pretty antithetical this is.

  13. 5 trillion economy would have happened if not for COVID, followed by Russia-Ukraine war. We do have more access to drinking water in India as a result of Nal se jal scheme. With regards to jobs, the pandemic hit the MSMEs, therefore shedding jobs. Things will take time a bit to normalize. Hope you have common sense to understand the current situation (local and global)

  14.  @senyaloyalo896  The trade deficit China in 2003-2004 was 1.76 Billion USD , in 2014 it went up to 36 Billion USD. In 2022, it went up to only 72 Billion USD. So, during UPA (2004-2014) duration the trade deficit went up close to 30 times, whereas in so far in Modi govt, the trade deficit with CHina only increased around 2 times. So, you can see how much UPA recklessly made India dependent on China, and how much Modi is weaning India off from Chinese imports. Just get some perspective. These numbers are verifiable. Please google if you don't believe me.

  22. This is the GDP rate after inflation. Don't show your ignorance so brazenly. It cannot afford to be the factory, until we create a magic fuel other than fossil fuels. Power generation for manufacturing will require a lot more fuel and coal import. You should know about it.

  37. There is no proof of that yet. Don't sink an entrepreneur from India. We need to get out of the colonial mindset. Remember LIC of India that had bad exposure during Asian crisis. A lot of top execs made money and tax payers had to bail LIC out. Adani is a private guy, us Indians need not worry about our tax money to help him out.
