Props to you for recording what you do! I've started recording many projects and stopped midway through the project just to get it done!

Life gets in the way some times! Be blessed this new year 🎊!!

One piece at a time. Currently repairing the damage that happened to a '05 Suzuki Firenza when the timing belt snapped two years after replacement. Don't cheap out on timing belt kits! Also replacing the rod bearings and rings. Head will be sent to a machine shop to get the bent value valves and valve seals replaced. Play list on my channel.

Ray, you do an excellent job shooting and editing your videos! I'm striving to improve. I have a couple of car projects on my channel. Would be honored if you check them out!
4
I'm here for the commentary! Have picked up a few tips along the way. Talk away!! Storytime!!

If I'm driving on a two lane road, I'll leave my lights on high beam. I'll pay attention if and when the driver dims, I'll dim. If we're getting close, and they haven't dimmed, I'll dim. 70% of the time it works all of the time they'll see the change in my lights and dim. Something has to draw their attention. If they don't dim, I'll leave mine on dim and divert my eyes to the right side of the road strip. I don't turn my brights on because we don't both need to be blinded! I have found myself forgetting to dim. No one is perfect. Forgiveness and grace is required in dealing with someone you're passing on the road that you'll only encounter for the brief moment. 🤔

Yep, DIYer here also. What I've learned from Ray is how to be more efficient.
4
Yep, done a couple myself.

Ray, looks like we finally have sound again! . . . . 😂😅😂 Thank you for the work you put into your videos! As a new creator, I understand the struggle!!
4
Possibly, however at the age of the vehicle an miles, the gasket is probably hardened and should be replaced.
4
@jamesc9327 do you watch both channels?
4
You lucky guy!! I'd definitely have work done by Ray if I was closer to him! MN is too far away!
4
Mustie1 is a great channel!

@shakerman55 well said.

I was replacing struts on our '03 Forester. Didn't use quick struts. When I compressed the spring, the compressor slid on the spring to one side. My solution was to take a bit of emery paper, fold it in half length wise. This gave the tool a grip on the spring. No slipping after that. Oh, KYB struts are a bit stiffer that I like.

When I saw the red strut brace, this guy wants performance out of his car. Probably changing O2s is part of performance. That's at least what all of the members of the forum say!
4
I'm wondering if I could use that car for a few days.... 🤔 Would like to go back to 1984 and correct a huge blunder I made!! . . . . If only this was true. 🤔
4
I'm sure if he'd have known it was this tight, he would have battled it when the pan was off.
4
Yep, great idea! I have a cardboard note I twist tie someplace in the way stating no oil!
4
Do you watch the South Main Auto Channel? Warning, your brake clean use will increase! LoL 😅😆
4
Very good channel! However, seeing the test condensed like you did is good for me! I'll have to admit, my attention is challenged with his redundant test shots. Thanks for the Clift Notes!
4
@FollowingtheCliffNotes don't lean on a Honda door!
4
I believe Troy is going to be a great fit for your shop and channel! I totally understand sinus gravity!
4
Those are the best brakes I've seen replaced!

I HOPE they didn't put in a performance cam and put that worn cam chain back in!! 🤔 Back in the day, we had a '67 Chevy Belair with a 283. It was dripping oil from the front of the engine. So, proceed to replace the front crank seal without pulling the timing chain cover. Got it back together and, it still leaked! Closer inspection reviled the timing chain was so wornout that it had chewed through the timing cover? New timing chain and a patched cover, no leaks!! Week after that it wouldn't start because of lack of compression! Burned so much oil the rings were stuck to the pistons!!! We should have stopped right there with this bondo bucket, but we fully rebuilt the engine!! Could tell more stories....!!

Well played!!

Do you guys use spanner for this thing ----> 🔧?
3
@williesmith3664 I like RATCHET!
3
Like the guy who does the safety briefing in a carton voice!
3
Do you think the first oil over fill event wes a "no spill and fill"? In my opinion, it takes a lot of extra oil to stuff oil from the crankcase into the combustion chambers?
3
Ignorance can be helped, unlike stupidity!
3
They even run better!
3
Astro needs to set Ray up with one of their air hammers! Can't remember what Eric O named it!?
3
Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

One night I dreamt I was a wigwam. Next night, I dreamt I was a teepee. When I woke up, I realized I was two tents!
3
Put the tools down! No amount of consecration on the job is possible! Definitely a compliment to his wife!!
3
It would be good to know how that tube got broken! Follow up?!
3
Seeing/hearing family in the video is priceless! You are blessed!
3
When assembled on the assembly line, I don't think they have any clocking on driveshafts.
3
@RainmanRaysRepairs <------ unfortunately, won't be paying for early content...
3
@piggiesshadetreemechanics3657 switch shops for a week! Wouldn't Eric O have a treat working on rust free vehicles?!
3
@xliquidflames it's all entertainment! It's also educational. I follow a few mates from down under. I always like to throw a wrench in their thoughts! 😉
3
"REV UP OTHER PEOPLE'S ENGINES!" Yep, don't watch that channel anymore!!😂
3
Why, just why am I watching a job done on YouTube that's a job I can do? Simple! It's Ray's banter!
3
