FREEDOM! CANADA FLAG! GOT IT!

You definitely need to spend a week with Eric O and learn the art of rusty fastener removal! For the 3 cars a year you would need that skill for.

👍 up for EYE-CROMMETER!

How low can a tank get before the fuel pump isn't cooled?
1
@Hoaxer51 so, basically, this pump was running without cooling.
1
You gotta admit, that filter wasn't EVER going to leak! Unless it some how got a hole in it! LoL 😂😆 Thanks for your videos!

Appreciate the indepth alignment video! Always wondered how it was done on a machine. Almost feel I could do an alignment now. Well, with a bit of help! Really makes me appreciate getting an alignment for around $100! I'm getting an expensive machine and and the experience of the mechanic. When I replace front end components, I try to get the toe as close I can with a tape measure. Fun to see the before and after print out.

<------2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 265,000+ miles 4.7 still running! In the Minnesota rust belt! Body will probably rot off before the power train dies!

Another option would have been to thread the bolt farther down and shorten the bolt. Of course, hindsight is 20-15! Much better than perfect hindsight!

I hope YouTube is paying you well! I'm attempting to grow my channel to 1000 subscribers and the required 4000 viewing hours. I'm just about half the way there! I'm featuring my late father's 1958 Plymouth Suburban.
1
Always enjoy your videos and upbeat attitude!
1
Yes, I did know the aluminum foil shiny and dull side reason! Well told! Yes, I would have gone over to his house also!
1
Like the intro! Short! Effective! Cool!

You and wife unit are a blast!

At how much force to push caliper pistons back do you call for a replacement?
1
How long was the coolant psi tester on and held pressure? I have a feeling that there's a thirsty cylinder that's addicted to coolant!
1
Living in MN, aka the rust belt, how far south do I have to go to get a fairly rust free vehicle?
1
Anyone have an answer?

RESPECT!

Looks like a lot of high RPM clutch engagements!!!
1
They would have been ahead by installing quick struts.
1
Consider staggering your butt crimps so it doesn't look like a snake just ate a rat.
1
Thanks for telling about your greatest screw up!
1
It's good it's on the left! Our cat bit off the wire to my right headphone!!😂
1
For this reason I count when torquing lugs. I know I can miss one or more!

Algorithm boost! Another video to watch after work!
1
@donniev8181 I certainly hope so!!! 🤔 One must remember how difficult it is to catch sarcasm when speaking much less written form.
1
@RainmanRaysRepairs wasn't being fair to the customer one of the many reasons you started your own business? 🤔
1
@RainmanRaysRepairs you're awesome! 👍
1
@RainmanRaysRepairs this would make a great "story time" video! Possible enroute to or from work.
1
How about a short walk around at the end of videos just highlighting what other techs are up to? 🤔

Just replaced a resistor and pigtail on an F450. He only had high speed. Plug was melted and welded to resistor. EDIT Now I wondering if the motor is pulling too many amps....
1
Consider investing in the "Drill Dr" for sharpening drill bits. It'll save you money in replacing bits. Don't lend it out. Miss use will damage it.

Less for the assembly line to assemble. Less parts to stock. Clips are probably symmetrical, so just need two of the same part. Injection molded so once the mold is made, thousands can be produced cost effective. Yep, it's a cost reduction. Does it work? Proof if the clips are MIA the strut doesn't fall out is in this video. Probably some clunking going on. Be surprised what engineers/designers go through in testing and versions before something is sent to the production line. A lot more has been taken into consideration that meets the eye. CAD designer talking here. A friend told me he heard bumped in his van after major work was done. I went right for the upper strut mounting nuts which I found had not been tightened.

Definitely appreciate your perspective!

How much extra oil needs to be in an engine to cause harm?
1
EverStart Project Farm did a battery test and EverStart came out rating rather high. FYI Did you consider testing the battery? Seems like it dropped out rather than suddenly.
1
I've always wondered why diesels have a return lines from the injectors. Now I know! Thanks!
1
Isn't it nice to be able to make your own decisions on what and when you work on??

Things I learned. Have never driven a truck with a dial for transmission selection so didn't know about the manual out of park feature. My guess they're still using a cable from the cab to the transmission. They really increased the size of slip joints on driveshafts!
1
How much music can you get away with without a copyright strike?
1
@fredwalker839 I'm just playing on the "quick question" usage. Just ask the question. Don't apologize by trying to make it sound like it's gonna be quick. I'm all for asking questions.
1
"Tap, tap the link button." That would turn my like 📴!
1
If they'd make O2 sensor plugs small enough to slip a box end wrench through, it would make removing them a whole lot easier! No split socket required!
1
Customer asks, "What's the $20 extra fee for?" BRAKE CLEAN!
1
@joeferraro9884 probably because of the dying low pressure fuel pump not supplying enough volume.

I bought an '03 Forester which was advertised as needed head gaskets. Driving it home, I was expecting to have to add coolant. Nope, just could smell it. No white smoke out the exhaust. During the first oil change, i found a broken hose clamp on the lower radiator hose. Drove it for 2 years before I got tired of smelling burnt oil leaking out of the head gaskets on to the exhaust, pulled the engine and replaced the head gaskets. I was there when the heads were surfaced. The last place to clean up was where the oil was leaking. Almost 200,000 miles on it now.
1
"Penetrating oil is a myth." Actually, have you seen it creep into a stuck fastener? I think that's where Eric O is coming from. Yes, after the fastener starts turning, it works great.
