Looks like you've recovered from your hand injury!

He did a spill and fill. The transmission would need a full flush to change the fluid in the torque converter. Fluid looked really good. The fluid is being changed at the right time. My 1958 Plymouth has a drain on the torque converter. It's also bolted together instead of being welded. Not sure what year when the drain went away.

I see grease zerks on all of these joints. Are they warn out because of lack of greasing?

As always, great video! I pick up small tips here and there. However, I'm mostly watching because I enjoy your content!

How many techs would turn down door work? I applaud you for recording this!
1
Watching a job I've done several times. The only thing different is Ray's commentary!

When a repair gets beyond the scope of the flat rate, how is the customer charged? Example, when removing broken fasteners.
1
"Get the rust off of the hub." LoL 🤣😆 That's a bit of dust! MN guy here.
1
"That's my alternator wire there. We'll bolt that on in a minute." Forgot to tighten the alternator wire on my car. Smelled smoke on the test drive! Yep, it burnt through the red rubber boot!!

Depends on if the lights are on high or low beam.

@kennethwhitson8030 if you want to become the go-to guy for diagnostics, get Scanner Danner's (aka Paul Danner) book he wrote for his classroom. It'll put you in the fast lane for diagnostics. Figure out what needs to be fixed, let someone else doing the work that's hard on your body.
1
@RainmanRaysRepairs Link to his channel please. Might help to put the link in a comment and pin it. 📍

Paint still on the frame and springs, but the rotors are rusted to the axle!?
1
I found the proper sized Torques bit works well as an extractor. As I'm writing this, you switched to using a Torques bit. LoL 🤣😆!
1
Honestly!! How many shops/mechanics would have charged the customer for this job knowing full well they changed the wrong part?

I'm curious. Have you tested those connectors? Have you seen them fail? I've considered getting some, applying them to a wire, and cut it apart length wise. Just to see the quality of the wire bonding or the lack of bonding.
1
SMA put out a video on butt connectors.
1
Drive thru window broken! Was it a write up error that had the passenger side to be replaced? Wonder how long it will be before they replace the passenger side?
1
"Before you guys get board and leave!" Never has happened..... YET! LoL 😂😆
1
Back in the day I had an 1980 Dodge Colt. Went to buy ignition points. Guy behind the counter said it was electronic ignition when I clearly was looking at ignition points in my distributor. 1980 was probably a transition year to electric ignition.
1
@MonkeyJedi99 I got a decent car because the owner thought it needed head gaskets. It was a broken lower hose clamp! Never ask for a diagnosis over the phone!
1
I wonder if paying it forward could become a regular event on these channels? 🤔 Sounds like viewers are eager to chip in. Have a vehicle ready when it's needed.
1
I have friends in FL. I love to send them your way! Do you give out your general location for this purpose? I just referred my niece to PHAD.
1
So basically, you got video content....
1
I didn't give any information, but they did get my hopes up one time.

Was working on a vehicle that I found a Snap-On socket. Knowing full well who has the majority of the previous work, I gifted him his socket back. Set once again complete!

Thanks for the entertainment! LoL 😂😆 Anyone know why manufacturers changed from vacuum assist brakes to pressure assisted brakes from the power steering pump?
1
What isn't the plug directly on the end of the sensor instead of a pigtail?
1
Make sure you save your first dollar to frame in your office.
