When I first met my wife, then girlfriend, she was driving a car without heat and a major oil leak. I flushed the heater core and got heat. Then on to the oil leak. She was told it was the rear main seal. So, I pulled the transmission only to see a dry seal staring me in the face. The oil leak was the oil pressure sender... Yep, lots of work....

When will YouTube pay you enough to start your own Shop?

Just pulled the dash on my '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee to replace the evaporator. Wasn't too bad. Now it's a beater with a heater and AC! Yes, in MN, we enjoy AC in the summertime!

I believe the "doodley doos" was his coping mechanism to listening to the answered phone ringing "off the hook"!

Same as SMA!

Watched this video a while back. Came back to add a thought. When you have a wheel stud spinning like this one. When you're drilling it out, have you applied pressure on the stud by forcing the wheel against it? Just to stop it from spinning by the force of the drill. Thoughts?

@JamesTrigg LoL 😂😆

Was it mentioned why it's a good idea to flush/exchange brake fluid? Hygroscopic, aka absorption of water from the atmosphere which causes issues with calipers sticking and brake fade.
1
Details! Yes details please!

What do you get when you didn't get what you wanted? . . . . . . EXPERIENCE

@roslyndrake6702 since I've never financed a vehicle through a dealership, and the most I financed through a bank was $4000, I just learned about gap insurance from talking to someone.

Bolts holding valve covers on are shoulder bolts.

I've heard this "Reeee". What's the context?
1
"Gas generator too noisy!" Guys who have gotten tired of the noise have installed a car muffler on generators. I definitely like your concept of using the truck as a power source!
1
Are brake jobs paid flat rate? If yes, wouldn't the mechanic be loosing money resurfacing than replacing....?
1
38°F is a great AC temperature!
1
Oh how I'd like an AC machine! Don't do enough AC to justify one.

More videos like this please!

You'd be better off using the old gaskets for the intake than that junk one! Some after market designer failed miserably!

Engineers catch a lot of flack. I wonder what items they worked through to get the car where it is? Corporation between departments. Being a mechanical designer, I've seen things both ways.

Only two quarts over filled?! I find that difficult to believe! I'm thinking it was a "no spill fill event"! What has to be true for oil to get into the combustion chamber via the EGR?! In my opinion, the oil would have to be in contact with the rotating mas and churn the oil foaming it up and be sucked into the EGR system. I may be missing something.
1
@richardbicker640 LoL 😂😆 How could I forget that?! I could remember the music he's played during it's use!
1
The heat from the welding broke the corrosion bond. Consider getting an induction heater.

Don't know where this repair is at. Those switches should come apart fairly easy and be cleaned. Probably just dirty contacts. Glad you made it through the storm okay!
1
I've never seen a good strut suck it's rod back in on its own! In my opinion, struts should have been replaced with quick struts.
1
What percentage of your viewers watch your videos to the end? I'm guessing because my content is vehicle specific, the average person isn't going to stay around after the 2 minute mark. I have 33% left watching there. 😢

Congratulations on 500K subscribers!

Yep! Many are brand loyal! I'm not. '03 Forester (engine out for rings) '99 Camry (needs ps pump) '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee currently driving. '97 Accord

Yes, the system needs to be full.

Don't be a parts changer! Diagnosis! This was a "green side up moment"! They replaced the belt but didn't look beyond that! I wonder what the other shops charged her?
1
I have a vacuum pump for AC that's air powered. Hooked it to the bleeder like this. Had to bleed a rear brake on a motorcycle that wouldn't bleed with pumping the master cylinder. As soon as I connected the vacuum, I got a firm brake!

459K subscribers! YouTube gotta be treating you very well! I hope your viewing hours are up there!

How many of the techs can drive a manual transmission?
1
How about taking some old exhaust pipe, and practice on them? I'm guessing that's why you want to get better at welding. Enjoying your channel. I can weld as good as your first two examples! Working on it. It's all about helmet time.

Strange manufacturer puts a crip connection over a soldered one....

You had a jumper battery sitting by your charger. Put it in the back with cables.
1
They're called "pocket parts". Just put them in your pocket! Re-engineered!

"There's rust on the shank!" That ain't no rust! Right Eric O?! LoL 😂😆

This video has an Allstate ad!

Besides seeing the battery wasn't being charged, how are you certain the alternator was bad?

@robertbeebe6146 oh, good point. I do believe before coil packs, didn't a distributor live there?
1
You know, if I double tap on the like button, it un-likes it! I will only tap it! You make excellent videos! Although I just work on my own vehicles, I've learned to stream line my work.
1
Oh what work I could do with an AC machine! Accurate charges!
1
Do you own a JIS screwdriver set? Are you familiar with them?
1
Make sure the cooling fins are clean! Oil starts leaking from the valve cover and mixes with dirt clogging it up!
1
My 1958 Plymouth Suburban (in profile picture) has a cartridge oil filter. Then they made screw on filters. Why are manufacturers going back to cartridge filters?
1
Do you have the polarity set up correctly for flux core wire? It's different than solid core.
