  11. renee angele - I’ve been to Toronto in midsummer, and it is around 30°C / 86°F and humid enough to be sticky. May or September are better times to go unless you don’t mind the humidity.

  14. Sherry Wilemon - In 2017, New York had 2.8 homicides per 100,000 people, well below the national average. Kansas had 5.5 homicides per 100,000 people, slightly above the national average. This is from Wikipedia but based on FBI crime statistics. So, please check your facts before posting. 😐

  23. New York City had a 23% increase in homicides this year (per Nick Johnson’s comment at 8:22), and might top 300 homicides for 2020. In 1990, NYC had over 2,200 homicides and had been on a decline almost every year since then. So it sounds like NYC is still far safer (pandemics notwithstanding) than in1990, or for that matter, any period from the late 1960s to about 2010. In fact, NYC’s 23% increase from 2019 was from the year with the fewest homicides since NYC started recording, where the homicide rate (per 100,000) was less in New York City than in the United States.

  25. I have read that Hawaii’s record high is exactly 100°F or 38°C. It was in Pahala, which Iis on the Big Island. The other state whose record high is exactly 100°F is Alaska.

  28. Donna McQueen - A “baby” is someone who has already been born. Otherwise the correct term is “fetus”. Personally, I think the decision whether or not to abort should be with the woman who is carrying the fetus, and that everyone else should MTFB.

  29. Guy The GalaXII - I think there should be as many opinions as possible to avoid pregnancy, and that would reduce the number of abortions. But once a woman is pregnant, the decision to abort should be hers alone. I would hope she doesn’t choose to abort the day before she would have given birth, but that’s her call and for her own reasons.

  33.  @hdrjunkie  - Connecticut doesn’t even have any tolls that I’m aware of. If any place is “Toll Land”, it’s NYC. Last I checked the GW is $16 going eastbound (less if you have a EZ Pass) and most of the bridges and tunnels that don’t cross the Hudson were about $7. So please spare me the sob story about Lamont.
