Compared to other places in this country, no it isn’t.
2
@TwoCaptainsOneShip - New York is crowded, noisy, and worst of all, expensive. But it is not a dump, even if it has a few bad neighborhoods. Briggs has done videos on places that are; you should watch some of them if you haven’t.
2
@bruceforster3709 - Leave your politics out of it, okay? All I said is that my favorite parts of the US are New England and the Pacific Northwest. If you disagree, then don’t move there. More space for me.
2
@bruceforster3709 - Nobody said you didn’t have that right. I just asked you not to discuss politics, and I actually asked you pretty nicely. And you still insulted me, which proves you are a complete lowlife. 👎
2
@bruceforster3709 - Piss off, loser!

I saw a Facebook post about a year ago that claimed that Columbus, Ohio was the most profanity-laced city. But I was in Columbus a couple of years ago, and it didn’t seem all that bad. Time to watch the video and find out!
2
A few years ago, I went up the CN tower. I was able to see parts of New York, but not Rochester. The day was sunny but a little humid; even on a dry day, I am not sure I’d see Rochester. Still a great view.
2
No, one inch is exactly 2.54 cm. So 1.5 cm is about 0.6 inches.
2
“Oh, crud! I’m in Nebraska. I must have taken a wrong turn again!”
2
While your graphics showed the percentages that were over 60, you kept saying the same percentages as over 65. Which is it?
2
I live in Connecticut, and like it here just fine. Thank you for leaving, though as it creates a little more space for those of us who remain here.
2
Curious which 10 cities have the highest life expectancy. I will guess Honolulu as being among them, as Hawaii is the state with the highest life expectancy.
2
Wimp. 😆
2
Pretty bad when a major city is called “boring,” but not when one of your suburbs is Boring? 😂
2
I concur that falls and early winters in Ohio are pretty bleak. I recall two-week stretches in November and December where the sun never came out once. It’s something to be aware of, but I think the worst aspects of Ohio’s weather are the summer humidity and the occasional tornadoes. As far as winters go, you get the occasional bouts of severe temperatures, where daytime highs can be below zero, but (compared to where I currently live) not all that much snow.
2
Dana Eiland - Just what part of the Midwest do you think Portland is in? And you do realize he meant Portland, Oregon, and not Portland, Indiana. And, I don’t consider Texas, Colorado, or Arkansas to be Midwestern states, either. Which leaves four cities in the Midwest. 🙄
2
He complains about the Bay State being cold but doesn’t mention it at all about Michigan or the Dakotas. As for Minnesota, he mentioned their cold almost as an afterthought.
2
I like the original 1970 song by Five Man Electrical Band. Great song!
2
@tonylove4800 - Not sure how your comment is “helpful”. There are about four or five million people in your country, Whether or not you are an atheist affects New Zealand’s percentage by about 0.00002%.
2
Missouri and Tennessee both border eight states. States that border only two states include Rhode Island and Florida.
2
I can’t stand people who use nonsensical acronyms.
2
I think it was 1974; that was the day of the Xenia tornado in Ohio.
2
SW Ohio has their share of overcast as well. I lived near Dayton and can remember two week stretches, particularly November through January, where the sun would not appear. I think it’s best not to dwell on it, though. It’s just clouds!
2
dknowles60 - Learn the meaning of “case closed!” I am fully aware that Chicago is overwhelmingly Democrat (and to their obvious benefit or they would have voted differently.) But the article is about Illinoisans, not particularly Chicagoans. And (in spite of Briggs’ comments) it appears to me that Illinois population decline is statewide with most of it outside of Chicago.
2
Blakelikesfood - Going back to your initial comment. None of the cities you have mentioned are “destroyed” cities, as people continue to live there whereas the cities Briggs’ has mentioned seem to have been destroyed to the point of being (at least temporarily) ghost towns (population zero.) Therefore your comment is irrelevant to Briggs’ video and is posted mainly to spout your personal agenda. Good day!
2
Sounds like a theme park. 😁
2
No, we’re probably not. When you die, your brain dies too, so you essentially cease to exist. Therefore it will be impossible to know.
2
I was there once, but it was in November, The temperature during the day was in the 80’s, and it was a dry heat, so it was a good time to go. I absolutely would not go there during the summer!
2
15:30 - Pinnacles could not have been a National Monument in 1809 as California was part of Mexico then. The graphic at the start of that park showed the state as Arizona.
2
Sounds like a dare to me! 😈 Nothing like being a true BLUE Texan! 😁
2
Several cities sound nice to me: Fort Worth, Indiana 😆; Cedar Rapids and Des Moines Iowa. (Akron, Ohio - not so much.) I’ve never been to any of these places, but I should go out there to check them out. I wonder how Madison, Wisconsin compares to this list. (I’m guessing it would be pricier.)
2
“Hurricane Laura and the Wildfires.” Sounds like a name for a rock band! 🎸
2
@believestthouthis7 - your biblical verses mean nothing to me. My scripture is the U.S. Constitution.
2
I thought it was Bridgeport.
2
China? 😆
2
My guess would be Ontario as many of them live in Toronto. I like Toronto, but it does have a lot of traffic there and it’s expensive, especially the housing. I don’t think the crime there is that bad, but I’m sure the people living there perceive it otherwise.
2
North Sentinal Island would definitely make that list.
2
Gabriel Ortiz - Chicago comes close to making Briggs’ top 10 list, and Miami does have a lot of crime, including murders. Portland and New York City are nowhere near making this list!
2
@loditx7706 - Your anecdote proves nothing. And if your friend lived through the winter of 1977, he probably wasn’t exaggerating. But Rochester and Syracuse had a ton of snow that winter as well. The link I provided in my last comment shows the average annual snowfall for several cities, including Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester. And the same averages can be found on the Wikipedia articles on those cities.
2
I can partially agree with you without conceding my point.
2
I don’t think having the Whalers back is going to improve things in Hartford, although I’d like to see it.
2
No it isn’t; I like Hawaiian style pizza. One of my favorites. Not a fan of anchovies though. 🤢
2
Seattle would not be on that list. Hilo, Hawaii and Ketchikan, Alaska both get over 100” of rain annually.
2
Well I’ve never been to Spain, but I kind of like the music... 😆
2
The state with the fewest tornadoes per unit area would be Alaska, then. 🙂
2
You have to read the newspapers more then.
2
Not surprised at New Haven, although I was guessing Bridgeport for Connecticut’s most dangerous city. Weird fact: Providence’s violent crime rate is the same as their area code. 😂 (The graphic for Providence at 3:39 showed the wrong city, BTW.)
2
I’m sure it’s #1 in Ohio, although the million people in Columbus would drag the average down.
2
But I dream of Californication. 😁
2
Either are acceptable. The official nickname is the Constitution State. I’ve also heard the Land of Steady Habits.
