  1.  @Rob-fx2dw  increased demand for things means more gets produced meaning more need for labour regardless of automation level. Why do you think 'helicopter payments' like 'stimulus checks' were a thing? Businesses will always pay more to get someone in as soon as possible so production keeps up with demand as the loss in production is more than the wages. If that means paying a bit more for the labour, so be it as some money is better than no money.

  20. In Australia, this has been transitory in reality, mainly because we didn't overdrive the money printer. We only did it ~15% vs 40% in the US. Money printer go brrrr is fine, but too much of it is bad. Australia also had FAR FAR less working age people die of COVID vs the US. It is more nuanced by those outside the US and who knows anything about economics.
