No your not, there is no significant difference in the fine. And if you think it's expensive, then you know that the ticket is ”priced” right.
1
Wow… so we should all live in prison cells in a bunker too? And the US has mochas more cases of COVID and shootings and terrorist attacks than say the Netherlands. Get out of here with those ridiculous arguments.
1
Did you see his video in Finland?
1
Cold weather or climate is no excuse
1
There is no reason why it cant be scaled up... And maybe Helsinki isn't a good example because they don't apply the same solutions...
1
No they’ve taxed them proportionally to what the infrastructure costs. And that’s being generous to car owners.
1
Then cycling should be big in Kansas too. And it’s not like there aren’t major Americans cities that are totally flat.
1
Snow is not a reason not to have proper biking infrastructure. Biking is perfectly fine even with snow if the infrastructure is plowed and taken care of.
1
You do realize road infrastructure is magnitudes more costly than walk and bike infrastructure?
1
@nzbidzel . Sure. Good luck with that. Cities and town relying mainly on car infrastructure are already going bankrupt. Even when everybody has to drive, and pay fuel tax and tolls.
1
Houston has a plenty big enough and dense enough population for good public transit…
1
Except most suburbia is bankrupting US cities.
1
And it’s not like the US quality I’d living and happiness have anything to show for it.
1
Yeah. Gravel roads usually means less car traffic also known as a a safer road.
1
@S1rWakka , They don't since the cost of maintaining the added infrastructure (making a suburb possible), far outweighs the added income from taxes.
1
He went there for the Wendy’s, which was there x amount of years ago. He didn’t like the bubble tea store.
1
Autonomous aircraft? Please do tell where we have those. There is no aircraft flying passengers that is flown by a computer. There is always a pilot.
1
Not necessarily, presuming the car stays the same it still occupies the same space, requiring roads with high speed...
1
@PropagandasaurusRex Not sure you understood that OP supports pedestrianization.
1
You need to calm down and realize that he doesn't expect poor countries to be able to do this. He expects rich countries to do better...
1
A cargo bike.
1
350 children a year are kidnapped by strangers. That’s almost 1/1000000. So no it’s not a lot.
1
@Darkshark201 . What you remember or what was back then, is irrelevant. So no, I don’t need to try again (;
1
Not nearly as much as in Europe.
1
It’s like people don’t watch the videos…
1
It’s a Canadian thing
1
Trains.
1
Diverging*
1
Not to the same extent. But yes.
1
Doesn’t mean it should be a car culture,
1
People wanted to drive in the 70s, and cities were designed for it. Today cities are designed for cars, forcing people to drive,
1
It’s a sort of German inside joke, that Bielefeld doesn’t exist. It does, with like 300 000 people. But “some organization made it up and it doesn’t actually exist”
1
Intracity should still not be a problem
1
Look who’s talking. Assuming without any basis in reality.
1
The Dutch and Scandinavians are famously good at English. It’s a mandatory language in school. And if you fail you have to try till you make it.
1
Does it really matter?
1
Nobody is letting their children walk from Atlanta to Memphis… People should be able to walk to the store, school or whatever. The size of the US as a country is irrelevant.
1
He wasn’t waiting and the car has plenty of time to pass. Nothing wrong there.
1
That’s a little to late. Especially considering climate change.
1
“Several” - You should have seen more than that.
1
@pepsiq11965 . He didn’t really ask for a response…
1
Eh. So you have anything to support that whatsoever?
1
@RunD.Ones1s . Most of New York is north of battery park. What I was referring to was the financial district. And you certainly seem very defensive, when I just asked a question.
1
@RunD.Ones1s I asked because I was genuinely interested. Stop being an ass.
1
Socialist is not correct. He was a social democrat. Which is very different.
1
A claim which he supports with facts. So… what’s the issue?
1
@Yuvraj. , Forgot about that continent…
1
@jackdanielt0598 . Everything is relative.
1
You are a lazy person, if you think walking 100 meters is a demanding task...
1
@conorhaddock3956 , are you 5 and no not 5 centimeters into someone or into anything for that matter... are you the biological age of 5 years?...
