Unrestrained capitalism with oligarchs free to loot and plunder, managed democracy with the threat of violence to make sure people vote properly, total media control, hate against minorities encouraged, and a tame state religion that rubber-stamps whatever the ruler is doing.

On the right, it's all about simping for autocrats and Putin as a rugged manly man of action, and usually heavily laced with homophobia and transphobia. (Never mind that the manly army of toxic-male rapists that Russia deploys is quite crap at actual combat.) On the left, it's a combination of "I'm on whatever side the US is not on.", a deranged belief that Russia is somehow still communist rather than being more of a capitalist dystopia than the US, and an assortment of conspiracy theories about proxy wars, biolabs and Hunter Biden.

If Putin or someone like him remains in power, the best option is for Russia to simply be locked out of the civilised world for decades to come, and left to rot.   21. Thing is...Putin isn't the one murdering civilians, shelling hospitals, commiting mass rape against men and women alike, manning torture chambers, or kidnapping children for forced adoption. Not all Russians are jumping aboard the train of racist total war....but ENOUGH of them are to make "Russian" a curse word for now and decades to come. Especially when you look at Iran and see them demonstrating what actually standing up to tyrants looks like.
