@inso80 yes on both accounts. Funny thing about Brexit though. Nigel Farage, the prophet of brexiters claimed before referendum that if vote leave were to lose by small margin, it wouldn't be over. The guy was later angry at remainders for not giving up after vote. The petition that got popular with remainders after vote? Was set up by brexiter before vote and denounced by him after vote. For all their accusations over the years, brexiters would have never given up themselves.
1
@inso80 uS actually has a better system. It has two houses. One represent the people and is voted in by representative vote. The other represent the states and uses FPTP system which allows it to ensure that states with smaller population have a voice in the second house and are not just outvoted by states with large amount of people in everything. About the only problem I would say us has, is presidential elections not being done via popular vote.
1
@inso80 you being a Finn is irrelevant. You believing that you have a better system doesn't necessarily make it so.

A dam that was in Russian hands was blown up by Kyiv? With no missiles used? The bridge was military target. Explain to me how a theater filled with children with a sign that kids are there that was blown up by Russa wasn't a terrorist act? How about all the kidnapping, rapes and murders?

Byzantine empress wasn't part of Greece. Greece was a part of the Empire. And frankly, no one cares about Byzantine empire. Germany and France are in EU and they committed far worse atrocities.
1
@hamlet557 French idolise revolution and Napaleon. Germany has plenty of people as well swinging right to the extreme again. And they are proud of their pre nazi history. Turkey is no different. Don't hear turks being proud of Armenian genocide. They are more into denying it. UK also used to be in EU. And they glorify empire Times here.
1
True but it's noticeable how divide is most noticeably between two split halves.
1
@anteeko true but its strange how most noticeable divide is between two halves of the nation that was split. Why is it West half on average still better of than east one?
1
@anteeko and thus you prove a point of halves being split as western is connected to richer country, because both sides were split. Yes, with time the difference between East and west will change.
1
@anteeko true but sometimes it's plain to see that divide cones from historical split rather than naturally.
1
It isn't. Funny thing is, chinese current government are rebels while Taiwan is where China's true government fortified. They might have lost mainland China but Taiwan has never been conquered. There is also no protocol.
1
Pre WW2 Poland had its own State. You probably mean pre ww1 when they were still part of Russian Empire.
1
And what do you think Wagnet is whom has been fighting from the start of the war on Russian side and whose members are well known nazis with one of commanders tattooing nazi outfit symbols? Funny enough, these are nazis from Russia as well. I though Russia supposedly had no nazis?
1
I don't even see the problem here? Kids learning local language is pretty much essential and there are no human rights violations unless government actively forbids from doing so.
1
Not really. I believe Latvia is the only of the three nations that forbade language in certain public places like airports, Russian language is very much still allowed. And I know for a fact that Russian language in Lithuania is still being used by minorities without a problem. Primarily what is enforced in Latvia these days is mandatory Latvian education which frankly should have been there from the start of independence. Local children should have never been allowed to grow up without knowledge of state language.
1
Russia threatened both Finland and Sweden before they even wanted to join NATO. This is a big loss to Russia since yet another buffer territory is gone. Maybe Russia should start treating its neighbours nicer and they won't run off to join NATO.
1
Cause no one takes Russia seriously anymore. It a joke in every form.
1
Prigozhin won't retreat. He will fall out of the window if he does.
1
@aanakk west actions in the 90ies? West saved your pathetic country from breaking apart even further. You were so used to being dictatorship with unworking economic ideology, you had no clue on how to run a country. West gave you advice, and you fucked up even simple instructions. The simple fact is that big bad Russia never went away, because you never wanted. You people haven't changed since your countries inception. Even now, you work under the same rules. Just like with 1905 war with Japan and ww1, most of you will support the war so long as you seen as wining. But if Putin loses this war, shows weakness? He is dead and will be replaced by next dictator, repeating the same tune.
1
Hello friend. XD
1
@jonisalmela2399 5 cents worth noting considering Russia's main tactic is to throw dead bodies at the enemy untill they are over run. Tactic that is very costly and only works so long as you have the bodies. In WW2 Russia lost over 20 mil lives, which is more then multiple other main nations combined.
1
@jonisalmela2399 Putin seems to be long past any sort of political win. His propaganda machine is desperate considering what it throws at the home audience. I don't think even Russians believe the nonesense local TV hosts throw at them. And there is a reason Russia refuses prisoner exchange. Ukraine would get back war proven vets while Russia would get new IE conscripts who would tell other Russians the truth. If Putin can't paint the end of war in anyway positively, Russians won't be happy. While I don't think it would end in civil war, but it would weaken Putin's authority and that is something no Russian dictator can afford.
1
@AnnedolfFrankler911 That is Russian propaganda. Only Russia wants to conquer Ukraine.
1
@AnnedolfFrankler911 Lol, you mean the tanks that went to their native Ukrainian lands to mate after mysteriously dissapering in bases? That isn't invasion. All they do is mate and trample on Russians. Jokes aside. Everyone millitary is sitting in Eastern European borders just in case of Russian attack.
1
@AnnedolfFrankler911 Looking at Russia in Ukraine, I would say you don't need much.
1
@AnnedolfFrankler911 nah, it started with hopes of taking Kyiv only to be pushed. Then reduced its operations to east. Heck, Russian Medea even had victory articles prepared and had to delete them our after release on Saturday of the week of invasion because it became obvious that Russia ain't wining this quickly. Time isn't on Russia side here as it becomes weaker and weaker with each passing day. Granted it wasn't a powerful since 19th century.
1
The country though should ensure its citizens have the means and can adapt to the new laws instead of throwing them of deep end. When Lithuania eliminated russian from government forms, I for my self wasn't bothered since country ensured that even ethnic russians were taught Lithuanian. But I did find it silly that there were no exceptions for elderly who never once were pushed or encouraged to learn the language. Good thing mom as lithuanian could go to government offices with my grandparents from father's side when they needed to fill out something, and that most public workers were understanding of the situation. The countries are not asked to adapt to those who are moving in ether, they are asked not to throw people, in some cases citizens into deep end without first teaching them to swim when earlier policy was that not swimming was alright.
1
Ukraine is at war with Russia and target was infrastructure used by military.
1
@A_Takacs AFU in a theater filled with children and a sign outside? With not a single Ukrainian troop present?
1
@A_Takacs oh cute, conspiracy theories. There were children there though. Nether is it bellow Russians to rape and murder civies.
1
@fedethefico well, you are wrong there. The fact that this is still being done, clearly shows EU members still want them within the union and are still willing to allow these countries to keep their opt outs.
1
@BaconDragon-yr5vf they have recourses, they need proper logistical knowledge.
1
They can't afford to throw gagilion people at NATO, who with technological superiority wouldn't have a problem erasing wave after wave of serfs.
1
@Elivinture Russia is already going ww1 on Ukraine, which is a few steps bellow US Vs Iraq. Their current tactic is to artillery bomb cities they trying to take into dust.
1
@kartikeyatiwari2502 proof of Russian articles? They deleted them once it became obvious they didn't win. It was in various news though at the time, especially none mainstream news.
1
@javaman9010 russians
1
@kartikeyatiwari2502 yes, we greatly overestimated Russian capabilities, and weapons Ukraine keeps getting means it will only get worse for Russia.
1
@kartikeyatiwari2502 I would need to go home first and see if I can find it again. Been 4 months after all.
1
@jeremy7372 I presumed that Russia accused Ukraine government of being Nazis, not one regiment in the military seeing as Russia like any country us full of Nazis.
1
@jeremy7372 that is interesting revisionism of comments you wrote there. Can't really expect truth from russian troll though. We need to send them weapons that will outrange Russians so they can't target cities. In ether case, we shouldn't abandon Ukraine to fascist Putin.
1
@jeremy7372 not even remotely compactible. He only used Azov status as accused Nazi group as excuse to attack Ukraine. The situation to Afghanistan s not even remotely similar. US wanted Bin Laden who attacked US and were terrorist organisation. Azov came to prominence because of Russia creating separatists and causing problems in Crimea, Donbas and Luhansk. Putin used them as one of pretexts for his land grab in Ukraine and because they were major thorn in his plans. Nazis also exist in Russia and in every country. And hey, quick look shows that Russia is using Nazis in this war as well. So much for your denazyfying lies.
1
@jeremy7372 I don't think one is better than the other, especially when Russia is using Nazis it self. I do find there being massive difference between US that got attacked by Al Qaeda in massive terrorist attack and Azov which supposedly abandoned their neo Nazi roots and were fighting Russian sponsored separatists. Both are still bad but let's not pretend that Putin cares about denazyfying anyone when he openly compared him self to Peter the Great and spoke about returning what he sees as Russian (,they not) lands to Russia
1
@jeremy7372 Nazis still exist in ukraine, as they do in Russia and in many other countries.
1
@gamingforlife9704 if it quacks like a duck, looks like a duck and acts like a duck, it's a war. Russia started this war with attack on all fronts and attempt to encircle Kyiv. Due to Russian terrible logistics, they failed and had to just content with invasion in the east provinces. Not really sure what you speak about not killing civies. Plenty of dead civies and a lot are ether executed by Russian troops or raped.
1
@centurionoomae1543 EU has no army. It's not a military alliance. NATO on the other hand is more than capable of beating Russian cannon fodder. Russia isn't unbeatable, something that was proven many many times through out history.
1
Yanks R EVIL Yes. Americans did help save Europe from Nazis. While Soviets for half the war worked with them on splitting Europe. Do you have any other silly comments Mr. Clown? Why don't you go back to whatever circus you run away from. Maybe you'll find actually be funny for once.
1
@sharifiqbal9335 can I have what ever you've been smoking?
1
Russia doesn't need help making enemies. They've been master of this for decades if not centuries. Hence why NATO keeps expanding.
1
What sort of jobs were those? In Lithuania it was a plus if you applied for tourism related jobs while able to speak russian or to lesser extent English.
1
@matijslode wow, I get most of the others but warehouse worker? Wow, just wow.
