  11.  @teemuvesala9575  not really. It would be difficult but as I said, we don't know for sure. It's all speculations on both sides. Russian military was considered second best until recently. An untested military same as Chinese. Both massively corrupt, yet we saw how badly Russia done compared to what we expected. Himars alone been a massive headache for Russia. Not to mention Russian terrible logistics in its own backyard, compared to USA logistics that allowed them to wage war all over the world. The war with China isn't unwinnable but it wouldn't be easy. Both of us have different views on this, the problem is, it's all speculations at the moment. And after Ukraine, I doubt China will be in a hurry to test it self against USA. Especially when it already left Russia out to dry with this Ukrainian war.

And who knows how many are forced conscripts who are locals forced to fight as Russians catch them off the streets and force them into combat. Russia did indeed didn't bring its full military capability into this war but what they did bring has underperformed so far. They were expected and even themselves thought they could take Ukraine within the week. But their attack in the west of Ukraine has fallen apart. You are right about Russia using Soviet junk, since due to massive amount of military corruption, they don't have much in the way of modern equipment. But let's not forget most important part of war. Logistics. Something Russia has shown to lack even when waging war in it's own backyard. Compared to US who is capable of waging war all over the world.

  14.  @darkstepik  Except Taxation in countries is used to support public services like police, fire departments and hospitals like NHS in UK, schools etc. Terrorists and rebels just steal that money with no benefit to the public what so ever. The thing about Taliban is that they took actually managed to overthrow the government and become the new government. There is a way to avoid paying taxes actually. Don't earn any money. Go live on uninhabited island is also an option, granted i'm not sure how many of them are left and I doubt you would survive on your own.

  25. US logistics are greater than that of any other nation. USA has been able to fight all over the world and has massive experience with logistics required for this Look at Russia. They have logistics problems just with invasion of their neighbor.

  28.  @teemuvesala9575  US actually did conquer Japan. Japan surrendered to USA. Whether China could defeat USA conventionaly is under question. It will not be like in Vietnam where USA soldiers were fighting guerilla fighters in the jungle but army Vs army, something USA is quite good at and has massive experience, not to mention technological advantage. Nor would it be China Vs USA. It would be China plus Russia Vs NATO plus Asian NATO. And we've already seen how badly Russia is doing with Ukraine, especially in regards to logistics.

The Russians in those areas are minority who attempting to yet again steal the land of native Ukrainians under orders from Moscow and have been boosted by Russian soldiers even before this invasion. The tactics of Russia haven't changed for a hundred years. Including using people as canon fodder.

But there is only so much sending small force masquerade as separatists can do. As for the dead. On Russian side combined it is believed to be about 80-90 thousand dead and Ukraine has 45thousand confirmed bodies in storage.

Ukrainian civvies are even taking a piss at russian forces. To win, Putin will need to throw everything and the dog, short of nukes at them. And that is both a pyrrhic victory and massive embarrassment in front of his "allies" and enemies alike.

Ukrainian propaganda actually claims that Russia lost around a 100k. 60k comes from the west. You are not targeting bridges, you are targeting children playgrounds and shopping malls. Right, Crimea voted with Russian soldiers around. I would vote for Putin as well if you placed a gun barrel at my head.
