@danielobrien8417 NATO bullies? Also, Russia litteraly signed agreement a day before to let grain out of that port. Seems more like Russia is an untrustworthy bully here.
1
Ot isn't fighting 32 countries, just one.
1
Actually, pretty fine. They just trained the rebels who opposed Castro. Nuclear crisis didn't happen till nukes got placed there. I don't think US has to worry about Mexico. Their differences aside, Mexico doesn't seem to fear US like all Russian neighbours do. And I doubt Mexico would want to ally with Russia, let alone let them place base there given how Russia has a habit of using local bases to overthrow and anex hosting nations.
1
Good will? Russia bombed the port the next day. All world countries should just sanction and blockade Russia.
1
There was no us instigated coup. US did jump on the coup in support once it happened though. Reason why Russia is invading Ukraine is because they don't want it to let it slip its grasp like other neighbours managed. Also oil and gas. Finland was always unsafe with Russia as the neighbour. They've been attacked by it before. Russia is simply angry at losing its sphere of influence as countries run away to join NATO when they can.
1
Against whom? There is no k knowledge who did it. And nuking Ukraine use because would bring consequences Russia couldn't handle.
1
Democracy. Welcome to it. Turkey is definitely negotiating behind closed doors to get stuff from US. Hungary will tow the line once Turkey stops.
1
We've always been separated by everything including land border in the form of mountain range. A lot of countries benefit from weapon sales. They've been doing this for years, what's your point? Russia and China benefit separated world as it makes it easier to bully neighbors.
1
@Daniel Abednego Russia lost countries as part of the war. They picked a fight with Germans and lost. As part of peace treaty they gave up east European lands. So why should these nations pay Russia anything?
1
@blardymunggas6884 You already did. I'm sorry but when did NATO agree not to militarize the borders? Especially considering Russia militarized theirs.
1
@blardymunggas6884 why did they ditch USSR? Even joined up with US to kick their former friend in the nuts.
1
@Daniel Abednego Who is paying to whom? Details please. In regards to France, France bullied Haiti into paying by sending warships and promissing recognition as sovereign state. Recently France actually forgave 77$million of modern debt. So again, not sure why anyone would need to pay Russia, especially since Russia lost these lands in ww1 to Germany.
1
Kwok Wai Lai how so?
1
@blardymunggas6884 the one broken by separatists the next day? What about it?
1
@blardymunggas6884 These separatists are funded by Russia actually. What rock you've been hiding under for past 8 years?
1
Kwok Wai Lai so many lies in your comment. Btw, imminent collapse of EU been prophesized for decades by anti EU people. We don't even take people like you seriously anymore.
1
Ukraine has already began winning the war. Deposits Shoigu would give Putin a chance to get out of war while putting blame on him.
1
Making war costly to Russia will help achieve peace better and more into favour of Ukraine.
1
@MetallicReg I doubt 80% of the world supports Putin. Russia is well known Imperial power that is known for a lot of atrocities. No one wants to replace their former colonial powers that left them, with Russia. Even more so now that Russia is invading Ukraine.
1
@davidrave563 it isn't but given that the rest of the world suffered at imperialistic nations before, they would not trust Russia anymore than UK.
1
If they were fighting 32 nations? Sure. But all they fighting is Ukraine.
1
@mlionea No one is an angel but at least nether nations in Europe or Asia are as terrible as Russia, especially with all the war crimes committed in Ukraine by orcs. Russia can't afford to completely shut off power long term to EU members. Russia would go bankrupt. I don't see how EU is global threat. It's an economic union with no military of its own.
1
I don't think this is to antagonise the west. Just to calm down their junior partner who is constantly screwed over by China.
1
Putin admin don't want that? They literally started this war with trying to occupy Kyiv. Total war was literally the first option Russia attempted.
1
Why? NATO still serves its purpose. Defence of member states.
1
@kuzakani4297 the population loss began long before Ignalina was shut down. The loss started in the 90ies after Soviet Union fell and people became free to move west. But some are coming back now.
1
Nether can take down China without hurting themselves in a bad way. Best that can be done is to switch production to another country like India and build that one long term, weakening China in the process. Russia was never built up economically as most of the money went into pockets of oligarchs.
1
Cool story. Then Russia will lose African support. Soon Russia will have no allies what so ever.
1
How long before Russia blows the ship sky high, attempts to invade or just steals the grain?
1
Lol, what nonsense is this? Putin literally started this war and has the power to stop it at anytime. Prigozhin is just a leader of merc group fighting on Russian side of the war. At this point, anyone else getting rid of Putin would be higher chance of reaching the end of war.
1
Actually, we are gonna be fine. Frankly, last winter I've seen half naked chicks on the streets mid winter partying.
1
Not really. NATO never offered such commitment to USSR, let alone Russia. And this might suprise you but NATO doesn't offer memberships. You got to ask to join.
1
No, just China. Russia is a junior partner in this relationship.
1
Not really. Ukraine wanting to be independent from Russia is why they are getting invaded by paper bear. Ever wonder why Russian neighbours run off to join NATO? Maybe Russia should be less of a duck for a century or half.
1
They know. They just been long since domesticated.
1
Not really. China has a population of a billion, off course their gamers will outnumber everyone else. Russians can't even afford the price of gaming. I see them come complaining every time they are asked to pay full price.
1
@blardymunggas6884 China has been known to ditch Russians many times. During cold war they began working with Americans against USSR. China and Russia are regional rivals. Notice how China is barely doing anything despite supposed friendship with no limits they announced in winter
1
Russia ain't ussr. Globally, nothing will change much.
1
And nether has much interest in Russia aside from using this minor power as a gas station.
1
Or we could just let Ukrainians fight till they ready for what ever deal they support, supply weapons in the meantime. Ether way, you can thank Russia for all the current problems.
1
@UCwvCAsEQXI5g4-WYY8s9ESg everyone else were puppet states who had to do what russian Soviets said, or else. And Baltics didn't even want to be in it, ever.
1
@sk🐰 😈 No, because Russians conscripted people from other states into their military, since Russia was in control of USSR and these states.
1
@sk🐰 😈 there is no middle. You nether agree nor disagree, thus since you never stated your opinion, your western logic comment is flawed Mr. Troll.
1
@sk🐰 😈 I never said they were not part of USSR, I claimed Russia was in charge of everything, thus is responsible for all USSR choices and thus USSR was Russia in all but name.
1
You are being sarcastic, right?
1
Not surprising. He is currently invaded by fascist neighbors from Mordor with and orc army.
1
Why? Western hegemony ain't going anywhere. Russia went from having words second most powerful army, to having second most powerful army in Ukraine.
1
@aresnir2725 For the same reason they attacked before. Multiple times.
1
Finland is more safe because Russia will be even less likely to invade them again. Russian nukes were already at the border. Kaliningrad is full of them. NATO jas no interest to invade Russia so Finland is very much safer now.
1
@LancesArmorStriking actually, it's only 300 billion. You also will get them back once the war is over. Probably. You can ask Ukraine about that, since that will be where we will be sending money for storage.
