  2. ​ @handsometall28  School massacres and mass murders happen in other countries regularly. The worst mass shootings have been in Europe, South America, and Asia. Beslan had 333 murdered and 783 injured, for example. Look up list of school shootings by death count. US isn't even in the top 15.

  4.  @jakefromstatefarm142  Reported rapes vs actual rapes is a huge data set range as well. There are about 1,800 rapes per day in the US, but only 10% of those reported to police. You find similar things with defensive firearms use where presentation of the firearm stops the intended violent assault or rape. Just in my own life, I have used a firearm on multiple occasions to protect myself and my family, with only 2 of the incidents involving reporting to local LE. That included home defense from an intruder (black male 15yr-old), attempted car-jacking by black male 20-28yr-old, attempted car-jacking by black male 16-18yr-old, robbery white male 26yr-old, and rattlesnakes during hikes or outdoor events. Prisoner surveys indicate hundreds of rapes per day were stopped in the 1990s. Rapists stated that when a firearm was presented or they suspected the intended victim of possessing a firearm, they moved on to another unarmed victim. Ownership of firearms by women has increased dramatically since the 1990s, with handguns being the preferred defensive tool.

You need to learn from actual data and stop repeating erroneous assertions, otherwise you expose yourself of having an agenda. If you refuse to accept real statistics and facts, while holding to an incorrect set of proposed solutions to the problem you don’t understand, it makes pretty much everything you have to say about this subject invalid. Nothing personal, just the facts. We all agree that murder is wrong.

Remember that the US is the 3rd-largest population in the world, yet barely factors on the list of nations by homicide rates. CDC statistics call a child someone ages 1-19 years old. That is disingenuous and deceptive, but allows them to then say that for the first time in 2020, firearms-related deaths exceeded automobile accidents as the leading cause. Automobile accidents have been the leading cause for decades. Here are the real numbers: Ages 1-4: Accidents, Congenital malformations, deformations and chromosomal abnormalities, assault Ages 5-9: Accidents, cancer, assault Ages 10-14: Accidents, cancer, suicide Now you have to ask why someone would say the leading cause of death among “children” is firearms-related, when it clearly isn’t.

When you read the 1934 NFA hearings, they keep mentioned John Dillinger and a fictitious 500,000 man army of criminal underworld hooligans like Dillinger. They were concerned about the strings of bank robberies committed by Dillinger, Bonnie & Clyde, and Ma Barker’s Gang, not the Mafia who put them all in office and paid them bribes.

In fact, during the NFA Hearings, the Committee members expressed no objection to the ownership of larger machineguns, but were mainly focused on Thompson SMGs because John Dillinger had used them after he stole them from police armorers while escaping from jail. He would also raid police stations if he knew they had Thompsons in their armory. Imagine an America where an administrative state has created a 115,000-man secret police army that goes after the innocent, political rivals, and the people in general. Imagine an America where the Federal government purposely ignores its duty to defend the Nation’s borders, while encouraging millions of criminals to flow into the US. Imagine if there was a President who had been on our enemies’ bribery pay-outs and sabotaged the US military’s ability to protect the Nation at a key time. You start to see why the people’s right to keep and bear arms must not be infringed.

  19. When I walk into a sporting goods store in Finland, I see boat anchors, bait and tackle, related fishing items, waders, suppressors, nobody cares. I bought and later sold my first can face-to-face there between friends. No regulation, no big deal, no paperwork. It's just silly the hoops we jump through to buy and transfer a can like it's some kind of evil device.

  21.  @bensears7499  Since the AK barrel is separate from the locking recesses of the trunnion (needs to be pressed in), it makes doing a user-friendly barrel change very difficult. The AR barrel extension and bolt lock-up together, which also allows the AR to be light (no steel needed for the upper receiver). From a logistics, ergonomics, and weight perspective, there isn't a better design out there. Ease of parts replacement has made it ubiquitous across the US for the DIY type enthusiast, whereas AK is now boutique.

EU standards don't allow Russian wheat imports for human consumption and protectionism of European farmers. Russian grain is only 1% of the grain in the European market, used for animal feed. Europe didn't place tariffs on Russia for wheat because it would destabilize the food supplies to North Africa and the Middle East. Russian farm equipment was US farming technology transferred to Russia in the 1930s, not Soviet-designed. Just like the Zil truck chassis based off 1936 Studebaker, most of the heavy equipment came from the US, with some coming from France. I lived all over Russia, and have documented these observations dating back to the 1980s. Russian freshwater is mostly non-navigable, which is one of Russia's major geographic barriers to infrastructure and trade.

  25.  @quantum_beeb  I love all the people who never studied the history of Vietnam or Afghanistan thinking the US government could win against the people, especially since the State Air National Guards have huge air forces of their own. One single State could literally wipe DC off the map if they wanted to in a matter of hours, with vastly-superior fighters to the ones used to protect DC. We’re not even talking about veterans with weapons and better training than the current DEI hires either, but actual Active and semi-active Air Guard units who answer to the Governors. A lot of people are not even remotely aware of the force structure of the US military and National Guard units.

  28. Think about how much money the politicians and their financiers make off of narcotics sales in the inner cities. They can't afford to have gun violence stop in Chicago, DC, Detroit, South Central LA, or any of the major cities in the US. Career politicians and their corrupt money managers make a killing off of inner city violence, especially since they don't have to pay any taxes on narcotics sales. They have a willing and ready workforce who is committed to accepting all of the risks in the market segmentation of their distribution piece within that market, with absolutely no worker's comp, no health insurance benefits, no paid time off, no sick leave, etc. To have a discussion about the majority of homicides in the US committed with firearms, without a discussion about government corruption and narcotics trafficking, is a dishonest conversation.

I have found that using emotions that people can relate to helps persuade them, since people are trained to not think logically in public school and pop culture, and instead, respond to emotional stimuli like puppets. Example: When I was recovering from surgery with my leg in a cast, I felt particularly vulnerable if someone were to try to rob me, or when I was out and about. An opportunistic criminal could target me much easier when going to the bank, ATM, car wash, etc. The fact that I could When my family is home without me there, I feel much better knowing that at least one of them is prepared and armed in case there is a break-in, since 911 and police response takes minutes, whereas violent crimes take only seconds. I also look at other Nations where the government has all the power to violate the basic human rights of their people, who are unable to defend themselves, and thank God I live in America, where at least I have a fighting chance with formidable firepower that forces politicians to find other means than violence to enforce their corrupted will.

I've been trying to find a definitive source for why the arbitrary rifle barrel length infringement was amended with another arbitrary infringement. I printed out the whole 1934 NFA and have searched it, highlighted, tabbed, and studied it for years.

  40. Yup. School is the problem, not guns. Schools require parents to abandon children at an early age, which damages the psyche of the most vulnerable children. Bullying adds to the confusion and hurt that children experience regularly, and the most outcast are unlikely to enjoy inclusion in any of the social circles at school. This compounds their sense of self-worth, which has been doubly-invalidated by family and friendship circles rejecting them. Schools are an extremely sick environment mentally, socially, and spiritually as a result.

  50. Read the NFA hearings from 1934. Congressmen asked the same question. The Attorney General at the time said if a father gave his son a pistol, the child is more likely to grow up into a criminal. This was in response to the question about criminals already not caring about any law. As you study the arguments during the 1934 NFA hearings, you find that the proponents of NFA were abject bloody retards.
