Sure how hard could that be? A constitutional only requires 2/3's of the House and Senate!? 🙄. And with most of the republicans in the house and Senate supporting trump 2/3's majority is a pipe dream!!
2
The key is to stop getting your hopes up. Let go of your expectations and let it play out because none of us has any control over what happens. Karma is coming for trump, but it is the nature of this judicial system and who is being prosecuted that this taking so long!

This assessment by Kornaki about how well republicans did in the rural part of the state ignores the northeast of Minnesota which is all blue. That includes Duluth as well as the rural part to the north. This was an opportunity for Kornaki to provide a balanced approach to how republicans vs democrats did in rural areas in Minnesota and he wasted that opportunity. imo

 @robinc6324 Thank you!!

No, but your ignorance and hate is sure working overtime!!!

@rack9458 Hypocrisy is strong in the maga crowd! 🙄😂

That comment that trump made to reporter at 7:35 was dripping with self-important BS. trump likes to think he is some kind of economic genius when he talks like that when in fact it's all just talk. He is constantly lying and playing a con game with everyone for his own selfish ego. I recognized that trump was a fraud over a decade ago when accused Obama of not being born in this country and thus not american. That should have shown to everyone what hateful and racist POS he is. I am disgusted that we are we still dealing with this fraud!!
2
Great job saying you don't understand what this means without saying you don't have any idea what this ruling means!!
2
@beverlyjohnson. Would good does it do to whine about what should have been done. This is where we are at so deal with it!!!
2
Kristi Noam is a fascist wannabe with her rigid intolerance and verbal attacks. She fits right in w to the maga fringe that follows was the mob boss named trump.
2
@jpap967 Who are the ones ranting about Hillary Clinton over and over?? Deal with your own hypocrisy before you start judging others!!
2
It's true as others have noted that the graph should have shown the whole trump data instead of just the last year. But ultimately, it wouldn't make much difference because Biden's record is still better. The point is that is always best to avoid even the appearance of misleading with data to transparent.
2
You are either patronizing or condescending, I'm not sure which!! 😂😅🤣
2
davemart sounds he can't believe people watch this and believe it!! So what do you believe davemart or are you too afraid to be specific?? The evidence for trump's guilt is very extensive and others that were indicted with him are already turning states evidence.
2
When a person decides to choose a particular candidate based on one issue is huge sign of how much other relevant information they are ignoring!!
1
@tombailey1059 You obviously don't watch much MSNBC or you would know differently either that or you have bought into the hateful misinformation from maga or Fox so called news. By the way Fox was found guilty and settled out of court for 700 million $$ to Dominon for lying about the election. So if you despise MSNBC that much then who do you watch? Fox, News Max or maybe 😅 Brietbart? Those sources all spread misinformation ad nauseum

Anarchy may be a necessary step to regain democracy in this country before it slips away even further than it has!!
1
Judge Tatel was clear in saying the judges shouldn't be impeached for the decisions, so by implication their corruption is another story. C. Thomas for one has taken so many gifts that might and should constitute corruption. And he also said that elections can make a difference as well. This judge said nothing about packing the court.
1
Nobody predicted that the SC would take it to this level. Some immunity was expected from this court, but they actually did was made up BS. There is nothing in the Constitution about immunity for the president.
1
The COVID pandemic began in the last year of trump's term where as since then it has been three years since Biden took office so understandably more people would have died under Biden. And the vaccine was only begun in December of 2020 a month before Biden came in office. Common sense should have made that clear to you, but it was obvious you were playing the partisan game instead!!
1
Sorry, but you Don't have a clue! You call it DEW and blame the government, but have zero explanation about any of that which makes you a troll desperate for attention.
1
This is good conversation about this moment in the trump story. Thanks for your covent remarks. The drama continues with this fa-qing guy whether we like it or not.
1
I'm surprised nobody on this panel chimed in on the point that trump is completely incapable of "swooping in" to resolve this conflict. In fact I see trump as essentially paralysed to do anything because he defines himself by his judgments and attacks of anyone that doesn't show loyalty to him. trump has never had to deal with a conflict between his base and his staff. This mess could continue to break down further.

But first before trumpy was reelected the SC reinterpreted the Constitution AGAIN!! The SC has repeatedly enabled trumpy to be his worst self. The demise of this SC can't come soon enough although there are 3 justices who have consistently been doing right for this country!
1
@roberts1924Â It is obvious to many observers including legal observers that the SC gave special treatment to trump in many though not all rulings. Maybe they didn't want to appear to favor trump too much which they did anyway especially with that absolute immunity ruling for official acts!! They may as well have just thrown the constitution in the trash because they made up their rulings often enough!!
1
@Katerynaki Navalny died a week ago!!
1
@Brian--0311 This is MSNBC. Are you that out of touch??
1
@jeffholloway2603 The federal income tax was passed by the US Congress in 1909 and ratified in 1913 as the 16th amendment. Are you so naive to think that even though the population has grown 3 and half times since then with vastly greater needs for the whole country that we could still get along without a federal income tax???
1
Timothy Snyder articulates the matter very well for democrats to pay attention to. Biden's disappointing performance in the debate is a time for a debate and not to immediately castigate him as unfit for office. Biden has been doing well in many respects up until now so why try to sink his candidacy baded on one debate? This is where the media can lead instead of taking a reactive stance. Abd some media outlets have taken a more measured view. Meidas Touch Network for one.
1
Sure, you brought it up! You start!
1
Removing SC justices would be hard if not impossible with republicans controlling the house. And they could also filibuster the Senate blocking anything there!!
1
The value of Twitter is less than than half what he paid for it. Yeah, that's really smart business sense. 🙄
1
The polls are meaningless with five months until the election!!
1
Who are you kidding?? Those two clowns have never worked at the FBI and their sole intent is to tear it down. Who will they complain to when crime starts going up all over the country??
1
Of course you do cuz you're face down in the trump Kool aid so matter how deranged or delusional or how much he lies or how many charges he is found guilty of he is your guy!! 🙄
1
@Tony-m1q9r Nobody really expects trump to change, but what is sad is the multitude of sycophantic followers that follow him making him more important than what is best for the country. When people feed a narcissistic egomaniac then the result is minorities are demonized and the rich make out like bandits. Oh, wait that's already going on, but now the few safe guards that are left are threatening to crumble!
1
@Rashas63 Sorry, I misinterpreted what you said in the first comment.
1
It is ironic and pathetic that trump followers are lol about Biden's bad performance in the debates, but say nothing about trump's constant lies through the debate. That of course points to the ridiculously low bar that trump followers have set for trump. trump can lie, cheat, exaggerate and make delusional statements, but it's only Biden's short comings you notice?!?! Double standards and hypocrisy are two apt descriptors for this disconnect!!
1
I was hoping that MSNBC could have listed each charge that trump was found guilty as he was reading the number, but that didn't happen. That information is available elsewhere and probably will included in a future news report. The bottom line is that this criminal former president has been found guilty. This is evidence pointing to trump being just the latest of republicans running for the WH who manipulated circumstances to get elected going all the way back to Nixon. Nixon made an agreement with the NV that he would end the war after he is was elected president. He lied off course and war was continued for another 6 years. Reagan made an agreement with Iran to delay the release of the hostages until after the election in the infamous October sutprise! This helped Reagan win the election. Bush Sr. Is one exception to this rule of presidents cheating to get into the WH. Bush Jr won because of the intervention by the SCOTUS. Now we see the evidence that trump suppressed evidence about his affair to with Story Daniels to get into the WH. That is four republican presidents out of five in the last 56 years who cheated to become president.
1
Exactly!! These extreme right wing judges just made it up after also taking an excessively long time to rule. That means their claims of being textualists means that they only rule that way when it is convenient. They are self-serving in the extreme. For six judges to have this much control over the country and to use it so wantonly is disturbing!
1
Jan 6 has been ruled an insurrection by several courts so apparently you have trouble hearing the truth!!
1
"He MIGHT be pushing his legal team beyond their limits"?? CORRECTION: trump has been pushing EVERYONE beyond their limits to lie, cheat and do whatever illegal BS he wants!!
1
Nice fantasy, but nothing more!
1
If it's so much bs then why are here watching it?? Shouldn't you be following the propaganda, uh I mean Fox News channel?!
1
When I think republicans like Graham, Cruz and many others the phrase 'sniveling cowards' comes to mind!! republicans cannot be allowed a majority in Congress let alone allowing their top sociopath near the WH.
1
Because the enforcement of the ruling was 5-4. So the reporters are at fault in not making the distinction.
1
@reason6835 From the dissenting opinion of Stomayor, Kagan and Jackson "The majority announces that a disqualification for insurrection can occur only when Congress enacts a particular kind of legislation pursuant to Section 5 of the 14th Amendment. In doing so the majority shuts the door on other potential means of federal enforcement. We cannot join an opinion that decides momentous and difficult issues unnecessarily, and we therefore concur only in the judgment". So it is exactly as I said. While I agree it was a per curium ruling as to the judgment three justices dissented on the enforcement. The above is word for word an excerpt of the dissent from the the majority.
1
@reason6835 It's all good. I didn't take offense. And I respect you for having the humility to respond back the way you did. Stay well!
1
That is a deflection from this SC ruling which has no bearing in this case. Stay relevant for your own sake!!
1
@fresyo1540 You are leaving out information that makes your comment not credible. In the first place no president has had immunity since the founding of this country. All of a sudden Trump pushes that argument and for one reason and one reason only. To avoid prosecution for his multiple offences. Even despite lacking immunity many presidents committed egregious offences as part of their official responsibility. And because trump is so power hungry giving him absolute immunity for official duties would corrupt him more than he is!! Immunity would turn trump into the dictator that he always wanted to be!! Second, congressional members have immunity only in relation to conducting their legislative duty. To argue that the president should immunity because Congress persons do is a weak argument because the president is not like Congress persons.
