Like the other RTX cards, it's only a midrange card in name. It's not a 60 card, for the price it's a 70 card, but marketing is powerful and some people have already accepted the stupid price hike

13:16 wtf Steve, Microsoft told me that isn't true. What facts do you have to claim that 10 in fact comes after 9 and not 8.1?
181
It just works... It just works (repeat 10x)

@Vampahh when they start supporting RTX, the 20-series will be the worst cards to use and everyone will forget them when the 30- and 40-series will be much better value
27
Begun, the monster core wars have

Samual Williams look at any hwc video, there is always a capitalized word as well as over sensualized titles "oneplus 6 review, time to buy a 5t NOW?!?!" even if the title doesn't lie about the content, making it overly dramatic as that is still click bait. He also changed the switching to Intel video title 3 times because he had such a hard time avoiding his click bait rutine. Original title was something like "INTEL BETTER than AMD"
21
@brendanblack8647 still not worth it for over twice the price. Get a thread ripper for that price point and you'll be destroying the 9900K in productivity. There is zero excuse don't give them any

Macho man is the cream of the crop, ooh yeah!
10
TLDR: Latency mostly improves at low fps and high latency, at high framerates it doesn't help much, making sure your gpu is not at 100% utilization is still the best way to ensure the lowest possible latency

Gsync is dead in all but name. Great day for consumers.
9
@S9uareHead hahaha haha you wish it's only 50 dollars more. The 8700k is 100 dollars more, there is no way the new gen is going to be cheaper when their prices suck and always has
8
*GTX 1080. Same performance as 2070 for a fraction of the price
7
570 is 150 dollars, 2060 is 350. Is the performance jump worth over double the price?
7
Drivers are ass so i know some people who quickly replaced it
6
Weaver Games pays for a stupid subscription for a program that only gets an update a year. Fuck Adobe now everyone uses subscriptions
6
Niktek made a great meme video about Nvidia entering the fashion industry with their ties
5
The 28 core was a big fail from the day it was announced
5
@farbound3783 intel: Ships 500W 48c/48t server CPU AMD: Cuts intel marketshare in half with 64c/128t server part at half the price, and leaves intel to bleed
5
@dongurudebro4579 in my country and a lot of European countries, the Vega cards are cheaper than their Nvidia counterparts Also good news is Nvidia has added support for freesync in a tsundere kind of way at ces. "you can enable it maybe it will work maybe it won't, but you'll have to dig through your driver settings to find it" can't wait for overpriced gsync to die for good
5
These GPU's are too slow at release. 45 FPS at 1080p with the top line card is not enough these days, no matter how pretty the shadows are. in 5 years once every game has raytracing these cards will be forgotten and be in the trash. when a 2080ti can't get decent framerates, how the fuck are people supposed to use a 2070?
5
You can hear his eyes squinting at the script
4
They won't need to upgrade ram? 6000 CPU's and Ryzen both use DDR4. But likely they own some slower ram which isn't optimal but still not technical neccesary
4
Intel dead brain: We lack supply for our high end CPU!!!! Okay, let's release another one at a lower price and kill the other model
4
@HeartInLight eh SLI was long dead before they removed the connector. Developers don't want to optimize for it and even when they do you can never fix the micro stuttering. SLI and crossfire is shit, consumers don't use it anymore either and that's why the connector was removed. It's just that prices of the old cards finally start to drop making the 2060 bad value. The 1070 and 1080 has increased in price again because they are going out of stock, but the Vega cards are now cheaper than them
4
What do you mean? Dont you love it when add takes up all the top of he description and the are no source and if there is, its in a forum post (ahem Linus)
3
They gotta say it a lot because in 1-2 years it won't be the case anymore lol
3
@HarryPearce7 none of the freesync displays they validated have adaptive overdrive. Adaptive overdrove was full on bullshit from nvidia's side. Rsync has no benefits over freesync. A cheap freesync monitor is worse than an expensive asynchronous monitor (all of then are expensive)but a premium expensive freesync monitor has always been just as good
3
I hate how most reviewers just use a thermal camera, like that is fucking useful lmao. Thank you for this video, about time we answered the temperature questions finally
3
@-Kerstin they literally are. They are man babies, they didn't hate on BF1 even though it's more inaccurate
3
Oliver duCille AMD is doubling their production all the time, their market share is increasing, not just for Linus viewers
3
Robert Hollar don't forget he got a fucking i5 instead of an i7 so fucking stupid
3
Diablo 3 is already on switch and Diablo 2 remaster will likely also be ported soon
3
The second guy was pretty hyped though
2
I seriously domt get why they wont spend what, 5 dollars for their high end cpus? It improves temps by twenty degrees yet they dont care
2
Remember that the Vega 56 is 250 dollars now
2
@TJ.85 Nothing like an intel fanboy who has to write an essay just to come close to explaining why an overpriced product is better than the competitor. The best gaming chip is the 10600k, the 10900k is not good for anyone, because if you care just a little bit about productivity you'd get the 16 core. If you care about gaming you will get the i5 witht he same framerates and use the saved money for a better GPU also the 3900X has been out for over a year. Next gen i right around the corner, intel is playing catchup and they won't get there until they get to 7 nm in 2 years-ish
2
@brendanblack8647 dude price is important and people need to define "best" with stuff that has great value. And no when the 9900k is twice as expensive a more expensive motherboard for a thread ripper won't make a big difference. It's a better investment long term too since you can upgrade your 10/12 core thread ripper to a 16 or even 32 core one later down the line, while the Intel chips et has probably run its course and will need an upgrade once they release mainstream 10 core CPU's that are not skylake x Intel also would want to lower prices but they can't. It's not like they are Apple and over price because they can get away with it's because their bigger chips are so expensive to make, they need to make wifi chips for phones more than they did a year ago. That's why none of their CPU's are competivly priced anymore, the 8700k was good value at launch, now it's 70% more expensive. And sure, the stupid 1% of PC gamers who buy the most expensive thing even though it's a few percent more performance for insane price increase are a minority, Ryzen is dominating all top selling CPU charts on Amazon etc. The 8700k was the only one conpetetion for the top selling spots, because as you said it's the fastest for games, but now that it's so expensive that is no longer the case
2
@brendanblack8647 because the very high end of PC gaming is only 1%, 1080ti and such, and the 9900k fits into that segment. It will only be bought by people who spend 3 times as much monetær to get a titan card instead of a ti one. The 8700k was already niche enough as it is, but these prices makes sure that the trend we are seeing now with AMD having more market share only continues
2
Intels integrated gpus can run the game at 900p 60 FPS on lowest settings. You can play the game on a fucking dual core Pentium at 60 FPS with low settings. This shit gpu isn't even faster than a MX250, what dumb oem will use this?
2
SeenCreaTive yes exactly, the first video they made was horrible click bait and they got shit for it, and then they do it fucking again. Their title asks for controversy and then they get it and act surprised
2
Optimization will probably happen in the next few years since Intel is stuck on 14 nm and every other CPU maker is going to get ahead of them
2
Intel marketing be like a hateful robot: https://youtu.be/6z5JX3-EDIw Just replace 'Cooper' with AMD, and you get a feel for the hate and bitterness that Intel shows lol

AMD is so stupid. They could have named it 570X and no one would bat an eye
2
Vega 56 has some cards with a short pcb and fins extending beyond. It's always a good cooler design imo
2
The EVGA cards are the ugliest this generation so users buying them only cares about performance, so of course they are upset
2
RAGE mode not helping at all in RAGE engine games like RDR2 is the biggest dissapointment of 2020 by far, and that says a lot
2
"60 FPS in BFV with high preset and DXR medium at 1080p with DLSS upscaling to 1440p." So that was a fucking lie, Jensen, can you do anything other than that?
2
Thumbs up if you won't buy RTX ever and would rather use open source raytracing in the future
