@uj12678 among married aged men, yes. Divorce is a significant cause.
87
@misssterling3094 Japan started the MGTOW like 30 years ago. They've been working on Stepford Wives ever since. It won't be long now...
10
Yup. Psychos are everywhere. Usually tho, the man ends up financially destitute.
9
@MsSemki supporting your children means being there for them. Mommy taking their money and spending it on what she deems important? Shame!
9
China 30 years ago: too many children! 1 child only!! (80% of them are boys) China today: wHeRe aRe aLL ThE ChilDreN???
8
Just remember: You are rarely dating her - you are dating what she wants you to see.
6
It's a fluff piece, agreed.
6
Actually, men can't afford to get married. Nice try though.
6
This. It's the same reason music instrument lessons are down. It takes YEARS to feel proud of my accomplishments? Naaa...imma gonna watch TikTok and Fail videos.
4
So, facts and statistics are hateful now? Numbers don't actually have emotion. Weird, huh?
4
actually if you won the lottery, sounds like it would be easier to find someone to marry.😆
3
Yes. Every single marriage was like that. All of them. (eyerolls)
2
@OlyPhoenix86 I went through the same thing my friend. Try not to beat yourself up too bad. It happens to the best of us. I never knew who she truly was until the third year of the relationship, and it was a slow slide from there. Usually it takes 1/2 the legnth of the relationship to feel whole again. It takes time. Hang in there.
2
It was never about unconditional love. It's about not doing things that will hurt people who love you.
2
@Princetonian4eva "statistics would disagree with you. Most women leave due to their husbands abuse, financial mismanagement, infidelity and lack of help in all aspects of home/child/life management. " Source please?
2
@DisasterService now we just deal with different crap - doesn't mean life is any easier.
2
For what it's worth, statistics say that the overwhelmingly best chance for a life long partnership is if one or both of the couple is a virgin. Your mom isn't entirely wrong.
2
@vanessahow the data did not include religious factors. It had indicated however that one's gift of virginity can make that person bond and therefore be willing to continue the relationship. Statistically, the more sexual partners, the less ability to pair bond and have successful, monogamous long term relationships.
2
@winning3329 men don't want to marry do to demonstrable reasons. All men's fault!
2
You don't have friends or family?
2
It can be. You will have to extraordinary sincere and consistent in your actions in order to convince a man that your marriage will be different. I wish you the best. Cheers!
2
That's love, I guess.
2
Just FYI - half of the pre-nups get thrown out by a judge, and the ones that don't are null and void after 10 years of marriage. Common law marriage can still make you liable for alimony. Enjoy relationships, but stay safe my guy!
2
Or you are not worth the risk yet. Today you have to be extraordinarily consistent and sincere in your actions in order you to show you are worth the risk to him. I wish you the best. Cheers!
2
because this is a soulless puff piece.
2
This is the most accurate and succinct reason I have ever read about this. Can I use that?
2
This.
2
Right, like a father doesn't take care of the children. No wonder you are not married.
2
Sorry to hear that. Wishing you more joy.
2
because cats don't mow the lawn?

@AskMiko "Legal involvement such as women having rights? Prior to this they were stuck in a marriage for life." Not even close to being true. Civilization has had divorce laws in place since the Ancient Mesopotamians over 10 millennia ago. Read Hammurabi's code. It may just clear up a few misconceptions for ya.
1
Yup. FOMO and digital attention is a HUGE factor.
1
@ChocolateBabe_ actually, you have it backwards. Read your response again.
1
@ChocolateBabe_ " If that was the case ppl wouldn’t be divorcing the ppl they loved who hurt them." what I said would mean that the first person wouldn't do the hurting in the first place - ergo no divorce.
1
Yup. Men usually only do the 'shafting' for the first three years of the marriage, if they are lucky...
1
Just remember to stay there, or the new one will end up just like the old one.
1
@user-rz7hg9my6h probably true, but many other countries are not so draconian when it comes to separation grape like the US. At least, not yet.
1
there is age discrimination, however.
1
...and if a mother truly cared about her children's well being, she would be agreeable enough to make the relationship so the kids grow up in a stable two-parent household.
1
nothing is free.
1
@Mexicano1768 Your life is 100% complete?
1
This is a great idea!
1
It is worth preserving. But yes, it is a hindrance to modern narcissism.
1
Do you have friends and family?
1
@prashnaveetprasad8339 friends and family means you are not independent.
1
Yup. Wouldn't wanna give up those vacays and brunches to give an underprivileged child a home...
1
Why have kids when it can take his focus off you, right?
1
you think wrong, but enjoy being an expendable worker bee and chasing Chad, he'll eventually come around I just know it!
1
This.
1
@yveje9720 what did I say that wasn't true? Did you even read my comment?
