It's the difference of listening to the media for 'facts' on the case VS actually tuning in for +5hrs every day to hear prosecution/defense plead their narratives. The truth is clear, and the jury were reasonable enough to listen to the evidence presented. We're left to reflect that Rosen-bum left his life the same way he lived it; by inappropriately touching a minor.

Now that's the kind of division I'd expect from you, @rippedhole9101 Sadly, I believe Biden was only talking to half the nation when he said that quote (which is a complete contradiction to his tune when he was running for office)
2
Weather?! It impacted ONLY Southwest LOL. They canceled 3/10 of their flights whereas their competition only cancelled 2% in that same time window. No, it was a worker sick out to protest authoritarian mandates
2
See this is the kind of reporting we could've used to identify 2020 rioters/arsonists/looters. It will forever stick with me that the charred corpse of a MN pawnshop owner was found beneath the rubble of his business during protests last year; those responsible will likely never receive justice.
2
@eggontoast7279 Yes, not being prepared is an apt example of our local PD
2
My only 'worry' was already highlighted in the original post, @Matt-fl8uy Stick to that if you want to share your opinions
2
It's hard to believe that not all candidates have a website to showcase their platform..
2
Deborah hooper Her number is disconnected; her website says SHE IS IN JAIL!?!?!
2
Didn't YouTube delete Trump's video telling people not to be violent or do anything illegal when protesting the stolen election (ie high degree of election inconsistencies that occurred nationwide across dozens of polling sites?)
2
It should be permanent, BUT those business owners should be fined if they are not ADA compliant. No, we don't want to shimmy through a crowd of tables flooding out to the curb because you want to cash in on hungry patrons.
2
Military-Industrial Complex sending obsolete weaponry to Ukraine (too little too late; this stuff takes months to ship + train with,) tells me they are going out with the old and in with the new $ $ $

@gregrussell1787 In a way, he is -what's more local than the resource officer at every school? zero-min response time

Small government; let the states decide

Remove Big Pharma's legal immunity from liability and then we'll hear what they have to say.
2
@sissietaylor9650 I remember back in early 2020 when the 1-mile containment zone in NY (surrounding a church, if I'm not mistaken) was 'out of an abundance of caution -only a small portion of Americans saw that move as something that would eventually spread I hope this isn't that too
2
However, there are studies that show the contrary -by no means is this cut and dry (Dark Horse p0dcast talked about this recently and Big Pharma's likely push for a treatment that can lead to $$$). Anyways when you have to force silence and conformity among our nation's doctors (who are highly educated and looked up to for generations), it would appear what is being sold to them is foundationally weak and does not believe in the scientific method.
2
What they won't tell you about this smut book (which was available to prepubescent minors) is that it discussed the use of 'strap on ilo-do-days' and 'performing oral ex-say' on one another. * Pig Latin for the YT algorithm
2
Why didn't they already do this based on BMI, cigarette usage, and let's go all-in by checking for illnesses in the family?

Wheels Up Guns Down, coming to a sidewalk near you as you peacefully wanna walk your dog
2
@alanmalcheski8882 Generalizing an entire population gets you nowhere, as always. Look to the work of Daryl Davis and his ability to use dialogue with those of opposing viewpoints to build consensus; a widened perspective does wonders.
2
Yashaya should work on their art of persuasion (and maybe seem less demanding and morally superior); I mean messages w/ all caps and exclamation points aren't going to win over anyone online, Evangelist's James & Louise Eads

I see a compromise here: As the startup capital of the east coast, someone should design an app (similar to the food truck tracking app) for all nearby food carts. Albeit, the City of Raleigh would need to allow these vendors to operate along the periphery of Glenwood South -drunk people will surprisingly walk long distances for food, they won't notice a thing. My concern is we may start seeing more drunk driving; either in search for late-night food or due to not having had enough carbs to absorb the alcohol.

It's everywhere in the triangle and comes in different forms; there are places here in Durham where there's a light around the corner of a +35mph road as it swoops off to one side and you won't know if it's red until you're within a stone's throw.
2
There is no compromising when the 2A is very clear; now, you're welcome to ratify the 2A as is your right (but you'll need a 3/4 state majority in favor of such action, which will never happen)
2
It was such a success, Durham is widely known as an area with an inadequate sidewalk network, I'd like to know why 11/1 is an appropriate time to be removing them
2
I partly blame the EU; you're telling me that an entire continent of nation-states is incapable of replacing 4,000 troops and their tools/weapons? Then they're not much of an ally to us..
2
Exactly, just like the Mothers of East LA. Their story: the mothers would roam the areas where gangs hung out to reclaim the space and hand out drinks and food, gangs not only reduced their footprint but opened up due to the nice gestures.

Especially gun-free zones, like the Amtrak station shooting in Tuscon AZ this week.

All FFLs already run a background check

And yet Lori from Chicago can 'call to arms' and no one bats an eye. #theater

Remove Big Pharma's legal immunity from liability and then we'll hear what they have to say.

~"Different values is a good thing as it allows separate efforts to take place" Then why are you inviting complete strangers to cross that line -rather conflicting, @rowstone3019

So easy to bail out the banks a decade ago but they're hesitant to save all the small businesses that are crumbling
1
Tis but one perk of gaining our'th independence
1
My views on an individual don't matter when we had an election with far too many inconsistencies, @rippedhole9101 Not the kind of thing to move along about, though I'll gladly defend everyone's right to advocate for their preferred cream puff

We also can't have happy hours here (the discounted price must be available all day) and they have a weird importation ban (I can't get rakija from Serbia)

don't worry people, Big Pharma doesn't mind

Parklets are awesome.

They're not failing to act, they just don't see loosening one's belt as a way to fight obesity. Cmon now, 1 in every 5 USD in circulation right now were printed in just the past year. Enough.
1
@lilazswift4153 A long list, indeed -my issue is with the obsolete items that, like everything you mentioned, is STILL too little too late, and will take months to acquire and train with to become a tool for the Ukrainians.

2020 riots resulted in: -$2 billion in property damage -500 FBI domestic terrorist cases -14,000 arrests -2,000 injured officers (blinding lasers, homemade explosives, etc) -25 fatalities (not including CHAZ) -Since June 2020, murders increased 30% Source: Iowa Senator Grassley

correlation vs causation; I'm curious to learn more, is the GOP's explanation of their process open for the public to review?
1
It's economic, Marjorie. And need not even be related to wages but rather how many hours they're getting every week. I haven't seen any evidence to suggest that this giant spike in resignations is overlapping with a giant spike in 'hair styles/color etc'. More people than ever are WFH, so I'd wager that people's hair is seen/cared about far less (of course, I don't know if all +4M job resignations are from the office or not).
1
@marjorielemons7551 You're welcome to point us to the evidence; and causation over correlation. After Jussy Smolly and other idiocy these past few years, I tend to not jump on the race train every time chews. And no, a video or boycott going viral can do what surveys cannot, I'll give you this example that didn't require a survey: Southwest, an economic airline option, recently had 30% of flights canceled when their competition had 2% in the same recent time window (an unprecedented jump; so I throw that BS excuse of 'weather issues' to the trash). I believe these resignations are vaccine mandate-related.

An awful lot of cell phone/media footage rolling out of Ukraine this past week with claims by the west that Russian forces are struggling. I'd argue the Russians have given serious thought to what they're doing. Let's unpack this: 1) Ukrainian water supply, electrical power, and cell phone towers are still operational. The humanitarian crisis that would arise if Russia chose to take them out would incite an eventual overthrowing of the replacement-puppet leader in Ukraine. Russia does not want this, and higher-than-expected casualties is the price they'll pay. 2) When Russian forces encounter serious resistance, they pull back and allow their units to surround the Ukrainian military (see the land bridge forming along the south and east, all that's left afterward is for these units to sit and wait). If Russia decided last week to go in heavy-handed, as they're capable of doing, it would destroy the very military that needs to protect Ukrainian citizens after the replacement-puppet leader is in power. Again, Russia does not want this.

New report: "We learn new details, including that there were 62 injured, that the driver stopped then accelerated, and that witnesses said the vehicle drove in a zigzag to hit as many as possible. Download the full, unredacted affidavit.."
1
@gwhitty12 you're welcome to take business away from state representatives who do not support legalization by moving to an area that bolsters your values and affinity for researching the right's activities ;)

Interesting, so there was no intent on the part of Hillary when she and her team hammered away at the servers/devices knowing there was a subpoena for them? Funny they don't talk about the files that past presidents have with them to this day (and declassified prior to leaving office, as any president has the power to do).
1
So those allergic to the vaccine's ingredients or following their religious beliefs are being targeted?

@alanmalcheski8882 You haven't a clue what you want
