  30. 1:06 This is why uninstalling any bloatware including security stuff (especially if it comes from McAffe or Norton) is the first step ever on a new rig (unless you build your own and install Windows by yourself). Sucks when that happens. 1:59 Good old intel. Switched sides and went for a 5800X (+64GB of 3600 on a B550 Asus board) with my latest upgrade, but had to keep the old 1080 thanks to the pricing situation. And sadly, that shows off with the G2 I got for 200 less than street price. I literally have to run it at the same rendering res I was running my CV1 at. But now I'm not down in the drink on MP servers anymore :) 2:10 There's a reason you don't ask "But can it run Crysis?" anymore nowadays... but to be honest, I'm having severe performance issues with the G2 in MSFS (even with the res cranked down), but it runs fine with the old Rift. Well, it's WMR, made by MS - just like the FS and the OS all that stuff is running on. Of course it doesn't work :D 6:40 He probably got that XBox Game Pass (Ultimate) subscription for a few months for that, which is an absolutely great way to try it out first as it will grant you access to the Standard Edition of FS. And if it's Ultimate, you can get a discount on buying the thing so you can have it after cancelling the sub. Did that as well and paid 96€ for the PDE instead of 120. My brother recently just did the same and managed to get it for just 60€ via the Icelandic store front, quite a bargain. 8:10 "graduated in geology" - "that rocks" - had me in stitches! :D (reminded me of /watch?v=XZPeXKVjAzs - for the autists out there ;) ) 8:33 ROFL (not a geology joke... or... maybe...) :D

  41. TOMCATS! 1:30 It's slower. SCNR. Its AICS is reprogrammed so it tops out at 1.88 due to inlet limitations in order to reduce maintenance hours. In the end that was a valid method to save tax payers' money since the planes rarely ever are flown at their top speeds anyway. After all the Viper also just does 2.0 and the Hornet even is limited to 1.8. After that comes the Fat Amy with an official 1.6 limit. But I guess you'd still want that extra advantage over your enemies in some cases of emergency. Where Have All The Good Times Gone, when you could fry your TF30 at 3.0 in that F-111... :D 1:53 The good old Sparrowhawk HUD that also some B models did have. Big wishlist item in the DCS community since HB said they wouldn't be able to fully model a D because they lack some documents there. But is you "misuse" the landing and bombing modes for literally any moment except for air to air engagements to get the TVV, altitude and VSI scales with knowing that the ladder shows 5° more than the actual angles are, it's quite usable still. And you still can roughly get your speed from both the AoA and wing sweep gauges. 8:40 "We didn't have true AoA, we had units, so was kinda useless number" - finally someone with that opinion who flew the thing - I never lived AoA units in any simulated airframe :D 10:14 I guess we all know that from DCS. It literally teaches those of us who only flew FCS things prior to use the force, I mean the rudders. And switch off that yaw SAS at around 15 units of AoA on AFCS. 10:51 I can confirm this is a great thing that helps a lot as it gives you immediate control over your AoA in a certain range. My 2¢ in the end: It's so great when you can relate to what real pilots tell you from their RL experience, based on a flight sim that you just flew, which is just a proof that it's really well done.
