I can also report that compared to the rest of the civilized West, the US under trump was waaaaay behind in dealing with COVID. I mean we in the UK were watching the US with our jaws on the floor amazed at how incompetently it was being handled in America. The only good thing about a Trump presidency, from the point of view of the rest of the world at least, is we will have 4 more years of dealing with a really poor negotiator on the world stage that we can push over and exploit, just the same as 2016.   50. The seriousness of a felon's sentencing is typically a direct function of that felon's acceptance of the verdict and showing remorse. Since Trump has done neither and has in fact doubled down on the opposite (condemning the verdict and criticising everyone involved in the case), the judge at sentencing really has no choice but to imprison.
