It does, but the West is not attacking or even threatening russia. Only Ukraine is.
3
Not if she was guilty of them, no.
3
@everready800 Do further research. The original quote was indeed putin, but it was 10 days.
3
They always come out in force when russia suffers a huge humiliated defeat like this.
3
Perfect analogy.
2
Many countries now reaching out to China as a preferred and more reliable trade partner than the now isolated and loathed USA.
2
Sure. Because it cost russia a LOT more.
2
I'd say Ukraine's days are longer than russia's.
2
Blame the USA.
2
When this city falls, Vlad the Failer will claim this was his plan all along and he has achieved his victory. He will then sue for peace having won some new territory. He must not be allowed to do this or we are in serious trouble going forward. I hope the entire Ukrainian army and weapons tech are heading in that direction to sort the Russians out.
2
@baTonkaTruck Maybe look around? It is all over the headlines everywhere. Israel published aerial photos of the site, taken this morning.
2
I wonder where the government will get the cash to build the sheer number of new prisons they will need to house those who refuse to fight and would prefer free room and board to dying in the mud.
2
Russia "too deep" in it's own BS.
2
The russians have made it clear = they are lying
2
Since JD Vance just gave an interview in which he confessed that this entire story was made up, I guess the answer is a resounding NO.
2
What a traitor
2
Apparently the current influx of modern technology and weapons into Ukraine from NATO and others is the biggest movement of arms the world has ever seen. Plus the Russian appear to making some very dumb and basic mistakes, like blowing up all Ukraine's 4G towers when the entire Russian encrypted comms systems relied on that network.
2
lol
2
@realtalk5329 His source is an enormous vat of Copium, because russia suffered such a huge and humiliating loss in that battle, against a Ukrainian army that had not yet received any NATO aid. Hence the battle never happened as far as russia is concerned. lol
2
@WingkKong What American expansion?
2
@WingkKong Feel free to give a concrete example.
2
Correct. russia has already lost. Even if Ukraine surrendered tomorrow, the sanctions would remain, russia would remain completely isolated and the russian economy would continue to collapse.
2
@Chris Viking Size of army doesn't matter much if it is utter garbage performing on the field and has crippling logistic and corruption problems. QED.
2
@cronostrigger6401 I think they are saying it was either secondaries (volatile stuff inside the hospital blowing up?) or more than one rocket misfired. Tracking the information, disinformation and misinformation around this event as it rapidly circles the internet is simply mind-boggling and actually frightening.
2
@Swediron Russia will sue for peace the moment Mariupol falls. And if they are given it, this will indeed be a victory for Russia. They will have more territory than before the war, Putin can save face and even look heroic and glorious, and he can also make further demands while wearing the disguise of the wise old peace-offerer. This must NOT be allowed and I hope the Ukrainians hold out until every Russian soldier has left their sovereign territory, including Crimea or lies dead in it.
2
South Africa has always been a horse of a different colour, ethically. Very dodgy country.
2
When the police won't even behave fairly to the UK population, especially the patriotic folk, good luck getting us to fight for the country.
2
Why are we always so quick to inform russia of what they got hit with? Surely better to say nothing and keep them guessing where we can. I mean it makes me swell with pride to know UK missiles hit these barbaric fools, but still....
2
@harry..flashman Because the alternative is to release him back into society (which they will do shortly).
2
Labour is the anti-Israel political party; why are we listening to them?
2
@petrciperny lol
2
Not one single claim by Hamas has been verified, yet everything has readily been accepted as fact. Why is that?
2
@Marri12345 They now control the gas terminal that controls the remaining flow of russian gas to the EU (Hungary etc). Seems fairly strategic to me. Regardless of that, I guess the main strategic aim is probably to divert russian forces from elsewhere, to force them to move to where Ukraine wants them?
2
The King MUST withdraw the invite he recently made to Trump for a state visit to the UK. Let's see if he has a backbone and also if he want to go down in history as not taking crap from a US oaf who has betrayed our old alliance, or as a collaborator with evil and stupidity.
2
@kartikeyatiwari2502 Diverting russian troops from elsewhere. This might be a massive diversion for all we know. They also captured a key gas terminal that controls gas pipelines to the UE, and are near to a even more key nuclear plant. Lots can be achieved here.
2
@nserekoisaac.5517 So mighty they cannot defeat their tiny, weak neighbour who has the assistance of a mere 5% of NATO's military budget for one year. Yeah, so mighty. I am in awe.
2
@BladeRunner21577 The big ticking clock is on russia, not Ukraine.
2
@BladeRunner21577 Bakhmut is NOT a war of attrition. As stated Ukraine could not sustain such a war. Put another wat, if it were then Ukraine would have retreated at some point in the 6 months they have been attacked there. It is instead a 1:7 KIA ratio in Ukraine's favour, which is exactly why they chose not to let it go, as they easily could have at any point. There really is nothing complex in this.
2
We've been saying that for months.
2
@majorminor3367 I miss Erica Eleniak

"Ukraine is trying to sabotage the russian election." ~ putin "Ukraine is trying to sabotage the russian election." ~ Ukraine
1
Wow such total weakness from the kremlin. Pathetic. Just a lovers' tiff then?
1
I can imagine it. In my imagination, it is on fire.
1
Please start referring to Putin by his rapidly spreading nick-name "Vlad the Failer". If it sticks, I am sure he will enjoy being known as that.
1
I wish people would condemn russia as much, when they have been completely open about their intent to commit genocide on the Ukrainians and deliberately kill as many civilians as they possibly can. But nope, just let them get on with it, right? They've been doing it for 600+ days with no one marching in the streets to protest.
1
With friends like the USA, who needs enemies? Disappointing to learn that there are so many weak-minded politicians in the US that have fallen for putin's blatant mind-tricks.
1
He also hasn't mastered the art of not making his military look like the Keystone cops.
1
As long as russian stuff keeps exploding and Ukraine keeps saying "It wasn't me.", everyone is happy. A very satisfying situation.
1
If the russia static defence is a tough nut, attack them elsewhere, they are static.
1
He is talking specifically about Mariupol. They've taken the brunt of this so far.
