Yeah. They put people in jail for helping someone to escape. These parole boards just hand them a key. I say give the parolee a key to the parole board's members houses. These convicted murderers are safe. Right?
1
Yeah, it's the bad "choices" that make the person bad. They made their beds, now they lay in them. The guy who wanted to go to the fair and decided to kill people for it? Fry that as*hole already! Good God!

@SonyStudioPro In what way?
1
@oddy5258 The reason the E.U. doesn't have a "rampant" (gross exaggeration) problem and does have a severe knife murder problem is because the E.U. is a castrated populace who has no choice about the laws that are shoved down their throats. Gr. Britain is the exact reason our Constitution guarantees gun ownership. If Gr. Britain (esp. England) hadn't been such a bunch of gun toting bullies, maybe things wouldn't have turned out this way. The U.S. was born knowing law-abiding citizens need to be armed to prevent tyrrany. Do quit your dam* judgmental haughtiness. It's pretty funny that every dam*ed time the U.N. needs peacekeeping forces, who do they look at?
1
@janelle009 White-collar criminals, identity thieves, scammers off way too often and much too easily considering tje lives they've ruined. Those crimes are rampant in the U.S.

@TheOrminlange We also beliebe in deterrent.
1
@TheOrminlange You are truly ignorant. They are definitely no "my" serialkillers. They are not anecdotal.
1
@TheOrminlange I pray that such a thing never happens to anyone ever again. Perhaps I shouldn't have worded it that way. It is clear you have only seen these people in a very controlled setting and you have never had to deal with survivor's anguish or the lifelong torment of family or friends or been to an actual nightmarish crime scene. Responders often need therapy. I wish you a long life with an intact family not marred by murder and anguish.

@c.krueger9530 Well. Are you catching anyone? Are you sentencing them to appropriately long sentences? Are you putting all your criminals in prison? some of our states are larger than a lot of European countries, and the have laws that are cr8minal friendly and draw a criminal element. Many states have a lower than European prison rate.There are many reasons. We also have a southerner border our federal government allows to stay open that seems to funnel a lot of the world's criminals in. Apparently they are a protected species the powers that be refuse to deport preferring to let disease and crime to enter unchecked. Our people come from everywhere, so whatever your gene pool, your countrymen make up part of the gene pool. Like I said, we often put a heavier sentence on criminals so they stay in longer thus an increased population. We seldom fine people, instead we put them in jail. Where some countries put them in mental or rehab, ours go to jail. It's complicated. Illegal immigrants are often without s means of support and turn to crime. Sorry this is so long, but you didn't expect a 1-line answ1er to a question like that, did you?

David Gilbert What?
1
@maq3009 Probably a baby who couldn't get milk from mama or a wet nurse.

Sometimes, I think the movie "Escape From New York" had the best prison system. (At least for murderers and habitual offenders.)
1
@valhalla7408 So you believe you have the right to judge my legal actions and beliefs?

@itsafunnyoldworld 🥲😅

@shawncharles9980 Christianity (Christ's teachings) do not push anyone away from Christianity. It is a few people's interpretation of Christ's teachings and making a religion of those false interpretations that drive people away from Christianity. Do not confuse man's sayings and religion with Christ's teachings.
1
@MissWinters1980 You lie. The Bible never claimed to be the first. It is a good rule book. Some "churches" have misinterpreted Christ's teachings, and have caused criticism to fall upon Christianity. Do not confuse misguided and evil persons claiming Christianity with Christ's own teachings. No human is perfect. The best practitioner of any faith (or atheism) is perfect.

@quickchris10 I'm all for stay-at-home moms, if they can afford it. They are both responsible for those kids and should both suck it up.

Forty years ago, they would have tried, but would generally be considered miscarriages. The tiny sweethearts wouldn't have had a chance. My mother lost many babies a lot more mature than this in the '60s. Finally, along came a baby at 7 months who was touch and go for some time. I was 8 mo. and there was some concern even with me. These are truly little miracles.
1
@Al-Hunt You think a person has to be a psychopath to commit unprovoked murder? What about murders of greed? Lust? Drugs? These are murders of lack of self control, privilege, etc.
1
@lindasamples6393 I don't think that word (sired) means what you think it means.
1
@lindasamples6393 Then, perhaps "birthed" or "bore" might be better. "Sired" refers to a male.

@lindasamples6393 Genetic contributor?

@Justin11071 Good!

@martinahelena347 It is not an eye for an eye, although that is justice. They weren't minding their own business. They weren't quietly just not harming others, unlike their victims, many of them were unproked assaulting innocents often children violently or killing to take another's property. They don't even deserve the delay they get until death. They deserve chaotic terror and pain the length of their victim's terror and pain. They know why they're dying. Why don't you have compassion for the victims and their families? Why the cold-blooded attack on society and the spit in the eye to grieving parents, spouses, children and siblings? Why doesn't this "compassionate" man bother to get both sides to the stories? Why so one sided? Visciously ripping everything a person rightfully has including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness from individuals. Those are their Constitutional rights that these heartless deplorables denied one or more people for selfishness.

@helenmulrooney5501 By your account, perhaps alcoholics should be locked up until they have their addictions under control. They are dangerous and no control over themselves. The choices are 1. a few locked up alcoholics and/or addicts until they dry out or 2. Dead innocent persons who are an asset to society or just beginning life. I say lock up all of the potentially dangerous persons until the are capable if being responsible for themselves.
1
@helenmulrooney5501 Well, good for you. How many people did you kill to get there? I hardly see how an alcoholic not killing someone is comparable to an alcohol who does kill someone. I also know that Netherlands have defunded their police, and are underpatrolled. They have also closed so many police stations that crimes are underreported because of the difficulty of reporting. Not reporting crime is not the same as lowering crime. Every alcoholic from another country is now an expert on murderers in America? Wow.
1
@helenmulrooney5501 Excuse me? Who started with the judgements? The people in your country are so much better with crime?
1
@helenmulrooney5501 Answering questions with questions is a cowardly way deflecting any responsibility for the comments you make. I agree the mouth can get you in all sorts of trouble, so before condemning a country of its practices, perhaps you should work on your own. I'm sure they would appreciate your wisdom and experience with the the justice system, as well as your alcoholic anecdotes.
