Few people think that this war will be over before Christmas. Ukraine might still have a chance to win, but it will take much time and the west needs to stick with Ukraine til the end, and not betray it with peace talks behind their back and then throw ukraine out to be eaten by the wolves. Once the Blue-yellow fly over Sevastopol again and Donetsk and Luhansk are under Ukrainian rule can the war end. But is a short war and a fast ukrainian victory likely? not really. russia have made enormous minefields that will take a long time to clear. It would be difficult for Nato to punch through that area and it would need masisve air power. For Ukraine its even harder as they lack air power. And attacking over open ground, over farmland with no cover against artillery fire will not be easy and not be cheap. Its difficult with armor. And impossible without it. But once Ukraine have managed to plough throw this sh*t, and managed to punch through the russian lines. Then the job of defeating the russians will be quite easy.

When you are wortless and got no source of pride to cling on to aside from some military glory... then it feels painful to admit that you got defeated by a smaller country because of your own incompetence. Not only are russia evil. They are stupid and wortless as well. The last part bothers them even more than the being seen as evil part.

@nvelsen1975 I just wonder why it even matter? I guess the name of the wagner group is something that is prounanced completly different in Russian. And it is a Russian and not a german organization, so I think the russian pronounciation therefore would be more fitting.

I don't mind seeing russia destroying itself in a civil war. On the contrary, I think we should try to support the weaker side in the civil war so the war gets prolonged and the destruction become maximized to russia never can pose any threat to its neighbours for futures to come. The EU should kick out all russian diplomats from its soil, and all diplomatic talk should instead be done with places such as Belgorods people republic and such.

Nazi russia is not launching several offensives as all of their focus lay on Avdiivka and they are too weak for making any offensives elsewhere. You are however correct that much tanks are supporting the offensives, but the end result is just the same as previously in this war.

I rather see Russia collapse into a civil war. And then can we in the west support the side which is losing just in order to prolong the war and destruction as much as possible so that as many lives and buildings as possible are destroyed.

They also oppose sexual minorities just like Putin and american rightwing traditionalists. Eritrea loves conservative values. Watch Jon Stewart's video about so called MAGA patriots. They are not pro the US constitution and the founding fathers. Their political views are rather those of royalist English redcoats.

THere is no point in discussing with Russians since they do not value truth or honesty. There are no logic in what they say. The russians terror bombed Ukraine months before the Kerch bridge was attacked. And now Putin tries to explain all that away by talking about the Kerch bridge that happened months later... The only language Russians understand is that of bombs - so lets give Ukraine all the weapons they need.

We can just steal money from russia and use if for war reparations. Like we have done with their frozen assets in western countries and their oligarch money. We can also just nationalize russian companies here in the west, and let the profits be used to pay for war reparations in Ukraine. It would be nothing wrong with doing so, since russia have already nationalized and stolen assets from western countries in this war. So why shouldn't we not be doing the same? It is important that we set an example and do not let criminal regimes getting away with this kind of behaviour unpunished. Otherwise we will just see more of it in the future.

"men who have previously served" The Ukrainian troops says that resistence is much lighter now than last summer because the quality of Russian troops is much worse now after mobilization and Russian artillery is less and less deadly. Some of it could have to do with shortage of ammunition. But russia is also using older and older artillery pieces. Their crews are less trained. The artillery observers are less trained. They lack counter-battery radars after taken high losses in that type of weapon. So the Russian artillery now is quite ineffective with its lack of observers, trained crews, and its old pieces with exhausted gun barrels are inaccurate. They can still be deadly, but when you miss your target with 200 meters and do not even try to adjust the artillery fire after a miss to come closer to the enemy - then the effect of the russian artillery becomes piss poor.

It was those damn Norwegians who destroyed the pipe line. As a Swede I can confirm that Norwegians are sneaky and greedy and cannot be trusted. Of course Norway did it. They had a motive, the capability to do this act and the oppurtunity to do it. They just destroyed the pipe line carrying Russian gas so that European countries would be forced to buy Norwegian gas instead, and so that Norway could jack up the energy prices even more and put more profits into their own pockets!!

Putin is wasting a thousand men a day on stupid suicide offensives in the east. I would assume that the russians would want to use lots of artillery, armor and their best troops for an offensive operation. But with HIMARS and Ukrainian supremacy in artillery would this be more difficult than earlier in this war. Furthermore have Russia lost much of their best tanks and best troops.. so I guess that they will have to use more junk to fill up the shortages of force for an offensive. The other alternative is to stay on the defensive. Train the noobs, lick the wounds and continue to use the better troops as a reserve.

Mike Johnson har hittills varit rysslands största militära seger i detta krig, vilket säger en del om ryska krigsmaktens patetiskt usla prestationsförmåga i detta krig. Att stödja Ukraina är en moralisk plikt. Angreppskrig och folkmord ska aldrig accepteras, belönas och uppmuntras - punkt! En vapenvila med ryssland är inte heller samma sak som fred. Precis som att Tjetjeniens fred med Ryssland aldrig var en riktig fred, och stridigheterna mellan Ukraina och Ryssland slutade inte efter rysslands aggressiva annektering av Krim. Appeasement är inte lösningen. Det blir troligtvis bara fler krig i framtiden. Hittills har Ryssland inte brytt sig i att hålla några ingångna avtal, så ett fredsavtal är inget annat än ett värdelöst papper. De lär bara angripa Ukraina igen så fort de har återuppbyggt sin armé efter alla tunga förluster. Och under tiden kommer ockuperade delar av Ukraina utsättas för våldtäkter, tortyr, kidnappade barn, och Ukrainare fråntas rätten till deras eget språk, kultur och nationella identitet och mördas i fall dom bara ens viftar med en Ukrainsk flagga eller talar sitt eget språk.

@oohhboy-funhouse Stridsvagn 103 could be driven by just one crewman. I think an armored pillbox that offers fire support to the rest of the men who are in the infantry would be a welcome addition of fire power. And if one tank gets destroyed then so what? They are scrapping age anyways. Sweden will not miss them. And Ukraine will not miss them much either. They are probably still good for hull down ambushes. Against Javelins, NLAWS, A-10s, Panzerfaust-3, and modern MBTs it will however of course get slaughtered. But in fighting a defensive war against a 3rd world country it can still be useful. But I guess that after the war will any survivng tank quickly get turned into scrap or get its chassi used for a self-propelled gun. "Any armour has been of Soviet origin" As I suspected. I think the plan was that east european countries give their tanks to Ukraine, and in return do they get Leo2s and M1s as compensation.

Because without western help would Ukraine not have top modern super-duper weapons and being able to field 300 million men at the frontline. So its only the wests fault that their sons are dead. Its not about revenge. It is about justice. But maybe your opinion is that we should shut down the police department as a whole, because it only wants revenge? I am not sad that Eichmann got executed. I don't think anyone would be missing him. Rather am I said that even more nazis didn't get the same sentence, like for example Martin Sandberger who had 600.000 lives on his consciousness. The punishment of Eichmann showed his victims lives mattered, that people who had lost their entire family in the gas chambers now got the monster responsible punished. And we should never give up on this principle. I remain happy that Eichmann died even if Curtis Lemay, Bomber Harris, Beria and Stalin never faced justice. But hopefully one day will no swine in the world go safe. It is a duty for humanity to keep all bloodthirsty murderers to account. To not punishing Pol Pot was not just a tragedy for his victims or for Cambodia... I see it as a failure of humanity as a whole to never hold him to account before he died. Crimes on that scale are simply too large to ever be forgiven.

So far has Russia acted unimpressive with its non-coherent way of war. It started the war as liberators and tried to avoid casualties among the civilian population, while today they are making terror bombings and threw people into mass graves. Putin did try to avoid mobilizing his reserves as long as he could, but once he took that decision it was too late... all his training units had already been thrown into Ukraine before and much of them have been wiped out, so now he cannot cast his civilian manpower into becoming raw military recruits. He have constantly been changing military objectives throughout this war... Kyiv and Odessa - which proved overly ambitious. Likewise did snake island have to be abandoned. He did then concentrate his forces to Mariupol - which they took and won a propaganda victory. The city itself and the steel mill have however been totally destroyed. Putin did then try to make a pincher movement in the east - which failed. He also tried to cut off Ukraine from the black sea to starve out its economy - which failed, and instead did he have to accept the grain deal. He have also flip-flopped with his relationship to the west. He wanted lifted sanctions. But later on did he blow up the North Stream pipeline and acted like a sore loser once he realized that it would not be easy normalize the relations with certain western countries again after this war. His propaganda is chaotic and filled endless numbers of contraditions... is this a war or not? why mobilize 300.000 men if the limited special military operation is going according to plan? And now do Russia seem to have lost the military momentum, and is forced into a defensive posture. And meanwhile do they make terror bombings. And mountains of flesh is wasted on taking Bakhmut each day. And aside from that are they digging in along the Wagner line and hide behind the Dniepr. Their military might need to gain training for their recruits, gain equipment, and fix the Crimean bridge before they can retake what they have lost. But going on the attack without tanks and experienced troops will be very costly at best. But it seems stupid enough for Putin to wanna try it anyways 🙄

If that is true, then I don't understand why election fraud is needed. Why did he throw Navalny in jail and killed him? Why arrest Girkin if he got health problems and should not be a serious threat to a guy with 80-85% support as you claim? Why not be more flexible and allow Duntsova a chance to run for election, I mean Putin would win anyways (assuming what that you say is true) so why not try to please her followers and allow them to speak their voice and vote for their candidate? I mean that would be the best for russian democracy. I also wonder why freedom of speech needs to be so strongly restricted if people supports Putins narrative?

The bald botox dwarf in Russia is saying Russia is winning as it retreats from Kyiv, from Sumy, from Charkiv, from snake Island, from the black sea, and from Khersun. Russians think they are winning. And yet have their winter offensive that lasts until now only managed to conquer a land plot so small that you need to look at a map through a microscope to see it. The price Russia has paid for this land has been huge. Most other countries would be unable to continue fighting on suffering such humiliating and catastrophic losses.
