  23. Umm, their numbers are natural, though? They aren't being bred by humans, now. It's the lions whose numbers are unnatural thanks to hunting and poaching. The hyenas are simply going about their normal lives. No-one is making them increase in population.

  29. Nothing sickening about natural animal behaviour. These animals are simply habituated to the vehicles, meaing they don't see them as a threat. The reason these things get filmed a lot is because this is something that happens quite frequently in nature.

  34. You realise literally ANY carnivore is capable of doing that, right? And, if they (hyenas) were hunted to extinction, that would destroy the entire African ecosystem. Contrary to popular belief, predator attacks on people is actually relatively rare, with most being due to diseases such as rabies, severe hunger due to lack of prey, or simply because the animal feels threatened.

  36.  @WordIsTheName  I was referring to thid video (which shows two fully wild animals acting as wild animals do out in the wild), and not the video you're reffering to (which shows a domestic animal being killed by a wild animal). Two completely different things. The dog in the video you're reffering to was TRAINED, both animals in this video are 100% wild.

  38. They're wild animals, not humans. Wild animals don't have the same Morals as we do, they're simply trying to survive.

  39. African wild dogs are literally native there, so they are in no way a threat to the ecosystem. Not to mention that the dogs themselves are endangered. Plus, this is at a nature reserve, not a sanctuary. And the point of a nature reserve is to protect ALL the native wildlife.

  41. In regards to your second question: no. Domestic dogs are Canis Familiaris, whereas wild dogs are Lycaon Pictus. You’re no doubt confusing them with feral dogs.

  42. the term "pest" only applies to animals when they are within human properties, such as farmland. Not where they are in the wild, where they are just living out their natural lives. It is impossible for any animal to be a "pest" in a nature reserve, as they aren't causing any ecological/econimical damage to that area (not counting invasive species, of course).

  48. " HYENAS ARE PLAIN BRUTAL SCAVENGERS" An animal can't exactly be called a "scavenger" if it hunts between 50-95% of its own food. Going by that, then lions, leopards, cheetah, African wild dogs, crocodiles and just about every other predator one Earth are also "scavengers".
