They both help control the number of other predators and also help to reduce the spread of Disease by eating the remains of other animals. 3: why should an animal die just for trying to survive? Literally all animals are just trying to survive, does that mean every animal should just die, then? 4: spotted hyenas actually hunt between 50-95% of their prey, making them more predators than scavengers. 5: an animal can't "learn" to do something it isn't adapted to do (they aren't humans, you know?) 6: why are you watching nature videos if you hate nature?
