Nothing "evil" about trying to survive. By that logic, all animals are "evil".
2
If people couldn’t observe wild animals acting like wild animals, that would completely defeat the whole point of going on safari.
2
You wished the ecosystem was destroyed.
2
You realise they're endangered, right?
2
I can say one of the likely reasons in three words: The Lion King
2
@zuiplap040 Great sarcasm, there.
2
@indyreno2933 aardwolves are also in the Hyaenidae family.
2
Human logic: "OMG an animal is trying to survive, it deserves to die! Trying to survive is SO cruel and evil!" 🤦♂️
2
I think your mirror needs fixing
2
For... trying to survive?
2
It's called "nature". Things like this happen all the time, regardless of whether or not people are there to witness. Not to mention that the dogs need to eat, as well.
2
@AnimalFight34 most likely
2
@yhyh599 Not true. I know of three hyenas who have twin litters, and both twins of all three litters are still around. Also, here is scholarly article for you regarding siblicide in spotted hyenas: https://academic.oup.com/beheco/article-abstract/18/6/974/210999
2
Stop applying human morals onto animals, please. No animal is "good" or "evil", they're just trying to survive. The concept of "good and evil" doesn't exist in nature. Also, eradicating hyenas could cause a lot of damage to the ecosystem.
2
This is NATURE
2
Levent.A Lion fanboy detected.
2
Levent.A 'Spotted hyenas are skilled and powerful hunters that can kill a wide variety of prey. In the Ngorongoro Crater, their preferred prey are wildebeests and buffalo calves, medium-sized herbivores weighing between 50 and 180 kg. Experienced hyenas can take down prey as large as adult zebras on their own but they usually hunt wildebeests, zebras and buffaloes in groups of 2 to 30.' (Source: Hyena Project).
2
This is nature. And are people not allowed to record/photograph wildlife?
2
Tell that to the lions who steal the hyenas' food.
2
@camm8642 Talking to Bradford, I'm guessing?
2
@bradfordlee7384 well, you ignored both my comments mentioning their hunting rate and how it's more common for lions to steal from them than the other way around.
2
The fact you're saying you hate hyenas for stealing kills from other predators means that you hate ALL predators.
2
Nothing illegal about nature photography.
2
Nothing inhumane about letting hyenas eat.
2
Never get between a predator and its prey.
2
Spotted hyenas are HUNTERS. I'll send you a link to a video which shows hyenas hunting, if you want? Oh, wait, I already have. Several times, in fact, which means you are LYING since you KNOW they aren't simply scavengers.
2
@lonelyboy1977 He's just lying about them being scavengers. I have sent him links to videos that show hyenas hunting, which means he KNOWS they're not simply scavengers.
2
Well, they DO have to eat
2
Because posting nature videos is the whole point of the channel.
2
@d3m1g0d4 I never said we weren't. All I was saying is that there is nothing political about animal behaviour. For example: the fact wild dogs are one of the most successful hunters isn't exactly "political", now.
2
@d3m1g0d4 That makes sense. Of course, their "politics" is very different to ours, and I don't think it's fair to apply our kind of "politics" onto other animals. What I meant was that animal behavior has nothing to do with human politics (guess I should have stated that more clearly?)
2
You know that would destroy the ecosystem right? And besides, why should the be exterminated? They're just trying to survive like every other animal out there. There are no morals in nature.
2
They don't have the adaptations to kill.
2
Why? No reason to hate animals.
2
Say you don't care about the ecosystem without saying you don't care about the ecosystem
2
The hyenas aren't overpopulated, though. And they aren't damaging the ecosystem, at all. Also, word of advice: don't base your opinion of an animal on a fictional representation of them.
2
They didn't tell the hyena to hide under the truck, the hyena simply found a safe spot and used it. Also, the vehicles would have a tough time traversing the African terrarain if they were low to the ground.
2
Not their fault they don't have the adaptations to do so.
2
Umm, they literally ARE out on a safari, though.
2
Humans are animals.
2
Why do most people on hyena vs. lion videos hate hyenas?
2
@ilovetorturinghyenas2013 Why do you want the ecosystem destroyed?
2
Why? They're just trying to survive.
2
THe brown hyena's also endangered, though, so...
2
@KKohl Apparently I'm no-one, then. Also, many people will miss them, as I highly doubt most people wish to see the ecosystem destroyed.
2
@BoskiM There's a video on WildEarth channel that proves otherwise. And he has been seen in the past few days (26th, 27th, and 28th August).
2
@ututheavenger I meant that I imagine Carolena was joking.
2
You... hate people who made sure the dogs weren't deprived of a meal, and who also followed to rules of the safari (which were likely told to them by their guide)?
2
No such thing as a "bad" animal, as trying to survive isn't bad, at all.
2
Can't arrange nature. Literally impossible. These are wild animals, not pets.
