Some monks don't behave like monks they get into other issues and get into trouble..there is no proof that the LTTE was behind his death, even the other side could have done that to create sympathy and to make poor people join the army. The army killed school children during JVP time, killed athulath and blamed it on the LTTE, laksman kathir same story.

When police attacked the tamil conference there was no LTTE. Attacks on tamils like these gave birth to the LTTE. North Indians rely on the money of Tamil Nadu, Tamil nadu can force India, but till now Tamil Nadu not ruled by real tamils.

Students like Sivakumaran and Prabhaharan went after the police resp. When police couldn''t handle, JR sent in the army. Who raped school girls, abducted and killed boys and men. LTTE attacked, army attacked. SL gov crossed the line by killing over 4000 innocent tamils, black july, which extended the war to another 25 yrs. So your side started.

Monks/Srimavo pressured Alfred Thurajappa to take action, turned into violence..angry students went after police and Alfred, police got involved, Basthiampilliai trying to hunt down the tigers got hunted by the tigers, when police couldn't handle JR sent in the army with spl powers, which escalated the problems further, eventually turned into full scale war and destroyed the economy.

The gov pardoned and settled criminals in dollar farm along with their families, with a cunning plan, to divide north and east, more were done in and around manal aru, with the same sinister agenda. The villages you talk about are these villages. The civilians even had weapons. LTTE warned gov not to settle sinhalese there. Tamils were living there before, they killed and chased the tamils before settlling the criminals and family members. You think LTTE would kiss them. Sinhalese ripped open pregnant mothers with broken bottles druing black july, I don't think the LTTE did those nasty things.

  29.  @picaros112  Only after they fought back, JR accepted tamil as an official language, agreed north and east as tamil provinces, agreeing to that he signed the indo-Lanka accord. Even estate tamils got citizenship bcs of that. Tamils can't control the police, governers are still sinhalese. They have plan to snatch the northern province as well. When Tamils can control everything in the north and the east, then Tamils have all the rights.
