  1. I can see how you would think this, but reality and every scientist and expert would disagree with you, because gender dysphoria is not the same as an eating disorder. Trans people are valid and normal, and have existed throughout human history. It's not a mental illness to overcome, it's just who they are, and all they need is love and support and to not be discriminated against.

  3.  @nate5726  I'm very much in favour of ranked choice voting and open primaries, it's certainly a start. I live in a country with something actually resembling a functioning democracy and government, we have ranked choice. But I would push back on the notion that there is anyone in a position of power in the United States with far left views on anything, that simply isn't true, hasn't been for over a century. What some Americans see as "far left" positions is considered moderate, barely left of center in the rest of the world. America is so far to the right that they have lost all concept of what the far left is or believes in.

The son of a prominent white supremacist has talked about how his family watch Tucker Carlson twice every show, once to enjoy it and a second time to better learn how to spread their ideas. Even if there is some complicated nuances to deal with in specific situations, it isn't justification for persecution of an entire marginalized community, are you okay with bigotry and government overreach?
