  4. Emissions are caused by our industry and means of production. Overpopulation isn't the issue, it's massive corporations motivated by profit over sensible resource management and sustainability. We need degrowth, to scale down industry to only produce what humans need, not what will make the most profit. Stop shipping products no one needs all around the world. No more driving into the office, if you can work from home then you should. It's not about how many people there are, it's how we choose to live, this constant wasteful consumption.

  5.  @TheRealCoalHub  Sure, but capitalism has caused more deaths, so if the logic for grading how bad a system is follows that the system that causes more deaths is the worst one then capitalism is the worst. They chose the number 100 million and then worked backwards to get that number. They counted Nazi soldiers killed by Russia in WW2 as "victims of Communism" which is ridiculous in several different ways. They sure we're desperate to make communism seem worse than it is, and it did work.

I don't understand how you can be this naive, the private sector doesn't improve the lives of the poorest people. When has that ever happened? I can list plenty of times socialist policies have improved the lives of working class people, and dozens upon dozens of times that the private sector has screwed over or ruined the lives of working class people.

I love my country and I don't want to move anywhere, I can't even afford to. I want to make my country better. I'm a socialist. I want to be a part of a Socialism movement to improve society like it has in the past. But you think I should move to Cuba?

Why shouldn't I want to improve my country with Socialist policies that gave helped other countries? I care about the homeless people in my country, many of my friends were homeless. Public housing would help so many people. Moving to Cuba wouldn't help anyone in my country. I care about people other than myself, that's why I'm a socialist. Sorry, your suggestion is ineffective and meaningless to me and my values.

You don't know what you are talking about. The only reason capitalism is liveable for anyone working class is because of Socialist led labour movements that won all of us the right to have weekends, minimum wage, child labour laws, and many more. All of those things are thanks to Socialists, not capitalists. Capitalism is a terrible system that would turn into neo feudalism if left unchecked. It's destroying the planet and most people's lives.

That is a childishly simple way of looking at these economic systems and completely ahistorical. Why did the richest country on earth spend millions trying to assassinate the leader of a poor island nation hundreds of times if socialism is so inferior? The history of US intervention in poor socialist countries doesn't really support your argument. The richest country on earth is willing to commit war crimes on civilians just to stop then from electing a socialist government. Your argument falls apart when placed in historical context.

Is their story one of a prosperous Capitalist nation that was overthrown by brutal socialists who slowly destroyed the country and didn't achieve anything, who let their people die of famine that they caused through... Socialist magic? Is that an accurate description of what happened before, during and after the reign of the USSR? Or was it actually a little different? I don't know how well read you are on history, but this will be an interesting one to discuss.
