She wasn't allowed to marry or have more children, either. Good God, that is heinous.

Also not really a connoisseur of her music, but her story touches me. I hope she someday gets to hold her aging father's financial and health care powers of attorney. That would be poetic justice.

Even Britney's mother is objecting to the fees that the father is charging to handle Britney's affairs.

@Raylan Givens That's for sure. I used to be a nurse on a psychiatric unit and dealt with a lot of people on court-ordered meds who had payees, as well. But these were mostly schizophrenics and bipolar people with elements of psychosis. I never heard of forced birth control. Or forced labor. Edit: Spears' father is trying to get this all sealed from public scrutiny, and his legal team claims that Britney is non compos mentis basically because her conservatorship proves it. Very insulting, tautological arguments from them. And the father is demanding $890,000 to pay these legal eagles. It's disturbing.

@nunereclipsereborn Well, apparently, you can't write it, either. If that's a reference to Ms. Spears' oeuvre, sorry, I'm not her fan. Too darn old.

@BAFFLED-u4o speaking of 40, among population that don't use contraceptives, such as the Hutterites, average maternal age of last baby is 40. There's something that those 45 y.o. celebrities having babies never admit: donor eggs from a 20 year old.

@nunereclipsereborn Maybe take an aspirin for that and you'll get better. :-p

@nunereclipsereborn Guess I'll have to do my homework. The only remotely Britney Spears song I know was a spoof: "Oops, I Farted Again". The video is a beautiful example of bad Flash animation, too.

@BAFFLED-u4o While I agree that she was probably crummy mother material, who gets the right to say whether an adult may or may not reproduce? That is a natural right, never conferred by man nor government.
