I'm an old Xer with three much older Boomer siblings who had a very different experience from mine, and it's all a microcosm of the larger cultural and economic experience of which you write. Still, while I may have been grumbling about my prospects in 1981, it has all worked out just great for me. I credit hard work and flexibility. I hope it works out similarly well for subsequent generations, most especially the one my son belongs to. He is a month or two older or younger than Kyle Rittenhouse.
