  5. I found it in Senator Russ Feingold . . . met him a few times, and he is utterly unburdened by bullshit. "Nobody's Senator but yours." He was a pro-2A Dem whose platform was basically the U.S. Constitution. He really had no friends or allies in the Senate, which, I think, spoke well of him. I miss him.

  7. Seen Sanders give a bunch of Iraq-era speeches at Fighting Bob Fest in Wisconsin (named for progenitor of Wisconsin's progressive LaFollette dynasty). Crowd adored his anti-war speech, though he gave the same damn speech 3 years in a row. Later on, I realized that Bernie really only has one speech. I still voted for him in the 2016 WI primary as a "Take that, you dried up, entitled old skank!" vote against HRC. That's Bernies main claim to fame. As 7-UP is forever and foremost the un-cola, so is Bernie forever and foremost the un-Hillary.

  10. It almost makes me feel sorry for her. I've been a psych nurse, and know her disordered, grandiose type very well. She's so unreasonable that not ONE person around her dare tell her the truth. Even her daughter grovels for her attention. Bill has tried, but she usually just hangs up on him when that happens. It's true.

She seems to have tardive dyskinesia, as well, which can be induced by a lot of psychotropic and related drugs used for everything from nausea to dizziness. Annnnd, she is quite old. The chance of being cognitively impaired or demented rises significantly with age. 45% chance of dementia of some kind by age 85.
