 @aposematicayu Same here. My husband and I are agreed on how to vote, and we dislike heavy-handed government. I would trust him to vote according to our family's best interests.

We also need to recognize that voting, per se, hasn't worked since the dawning of the television age and the functional destruction of parties as a real grassroots vehicle. Your representatives listen to you about 3% of the time. The other 97% of their legislation reflects what their big donors want. And yes, that 3% figure is old and real.

@dogzebra2708 No, I meant that you played no part in women's suffrage. None of us has. I do have a patient who was alive when the 19th Amendment was passed, but she was just two at the time. It struck me as funny, as if you were speaking as a representative of some male Borg.

@dogzebra2708 You have got to be the life of the party. What makes you think that you are a more sober and thoughtful voter than I am? That hammer hanging between your legs? While I think that the majority of women are fools and children, I only think slightly better of men.
