  2. Styx, I think you have an unrealistic conception of yourself as able to save any sort of addict. You're actually no exception to the usual rule, despite your celebrity. It's okay to care about an addict and okay to at least reach out, but beyond a certain point, it is just hubris and will drive you crazy.
